Owner description: The Saadian Tombs are located just outside Marrakech and were constructed during the reign of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur in the late 16th century. This is the resting place of al-Mansur, his family, and other notable officials from that era. These tombs were discovered in 1917; restoration began shortly thereafter. Today, much of its original splendour has been restored.

If you're in the region of these tombs then it's worth a quick visit, but I wouldn't recommend a separate trip here. The entrance fee is only about 1 euro, but there's not much inside at all apart from one beautiful chamber which you only view from the threshold - and of course there is bound to be quite a long queue for the viewing anyway.

Ver lavishly decorated and beautiful tombs, so sad to see that so many were children. Beware very long queues in the extreme heat during the day.

Maybe it's me being a bit of a philistine but I was not overly impressed with this. Basically, one wanders around and then queues to look at the tombs without any idea as to what they relate to

Tombs are well preserved although choose your time carefully as you will have to queue. Only one doorway for everyone to look through. Well worth the wait though.

This is a popular and beautiful site. Go early if you are able as it is small and lines form. There is a beautiful stork nest just outside.
