From start, hotel reception displayed lack of follow-through on agreement and overpriced all services. The requested ‘airport shuttle’ (taxi) for arrival in middle of night was not there. In the end, hotel manager wanted a random taxi driver to simply get ‘extra’ directions over the phone for $10. Yet the receptionist was sleeping anyway on arrival. The next day, arranging a ferry ticket to Zanzibar was again an opportunity to want to charge up to $35 more than price. For ease of convenience, use of a daily rate driver from hotel was used to get the ferry ticket as per website price. Finally, alot of grief came from the hotel’s lack of filing system for Expedia fully-paid vouchers when provided with a correct itinerary/booking code/number. Client had to do all the work and pull up the proof of payment from credit card, once in a possession of a SIM, since the hotel internet was inoperative, contrary to expected service.
All and all, a less than satisfactory property.More
