This was our first meal at Pamukkale in Addis, but it definitely won't be our last. We sat on the covered patio and it was a lovely evening (also nice to be away from the cigarette smoke inside). I had been craving some good humus, so we ordered that with the complimentary pita and "poofy" bread that is brought to the table - along with (also free) small plates of tzitziki dip, a tomato relish similar to a salsa, and a spicier red chili dip. Honestly, we all could have filled up on this starter - the dips were all excellent!!!
For mains, one of us had the chicken tibs (served in a very hot rounded pan with pieces of bread, and rice in the center), the daily special which was a combo of 4 kebobs (2 meat, 2 chicken), and the mixed grill (two types of beef and 2 generous pieces of chicken). All of our meals were really tasty and seemed freshly made - not pre-made and warmed. We were disappointed that they weren't serving schwarmas that night - but our other food was all excellent.
For dessert, we shared a two orders of baklava (OUTSTANDING) with scoops of vanilla ice cream. Yummy! And, to finish our meal, we were served small cups of black tea.
Everything was really great. I honestly can't wait to go back! Our server was pleasant, helpful and available.
