High quality, large rooms, spa, gym and pool, very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. I think we all have expectations when travelling to places like Libya and they are not always positive. This is my 3rd time staying here and as always very well looked after.

I was living in Tripoli in the good old days when Corinthia was the only 5 star hotel in the country with the only ATM . The weekend brunch was super extraordinary and the coffee shop up front was a bustling meeting place. The gym with indoor pool, jacuzzi, and sauna was perfect and my membership to the spa was very cost effective. The staff was well trained and spoke perfect English. People were so friendly that when we went to the coffee shop to celebrate a friend's birthday, one of the ladies from another table walked to the piano and played the birthday tune.

Stayed: April 2015, travelled solo

I lived in the hotel for many many months from 2011-2013 and the hotel was a light in an otherwise dark place.

The management including expat staff such as Lorraine are amazing and they do their level best... HOWEVER, the hotel is also in a risky city controlled by war lords and is a targeted location due to the expat guests.

My advise, stay away till the dust settles

Was reminded of my stays in the Corinthia hotel in 2010 before the revolution. Very nice Morrocan restaurant on the 20th or so floor. Not sure how it is now over there after the attack of January 28th, 2015.
