The lodge has just two cottages and two rooms attached to the only public room on the property. The rooms are better than the average lodge but certainly not exceptional let alone worth the $1,800 per night for two that you are charged.

There is NOTHING to do at the lodge-- which is probably why there is a tv in the small public room but who goes to Africa to watch tv?? Did not feel safe taking a walk because the lodge is in a village that would make most everyone worried for their safety.

Food is ok but, again, not the quality expected from a lodge that charges an exorbitant amount to stay there. The wines are sold by the bottle. I was told that a particular bottle of wine was $70 and when I declined to purchase it, the manager Claude then offered it to me for $40! I was traveling with another person and we were the only guests one of the nights. The manager offered to move us to a better room if we paid him $200! When we declined, he then offered it to us for $100! I felt like I was on "Let's Make a Deal" while there.

Room Tip: Lodge only has four rooms and they are all the same.

The place is superb, rooms are very spacious and offers a superlative living environment. The gardens are plush green and the air, crisp and fresh! The location is really one of the selling points as one feels very close to nature here, very calming to the soul.

Service is very good and the team are there to listen to you.

Well done guys!
