I was soooo excited to visit Bhutan, it was the only place on my bucket list. It lived up to all my expectations. Our guide Nim was the best, very knowledgeable about the history of Bhutan, very proud to be Bhutanese, and a really nice guy. It was so enlightening to be in a country that was so unspoiled by the outside world. No fast food, no name brand boutiques or department stores, people were friendly, and seemed to be happy. I was so impressed that the King and elected leaders looks after its citizens in such a caring way, no homelessness, free medical, no begging in the streets, I can’t say enough how impressed I was with how the country was run.
About Dunk Asia, they get an A+, they couldn’t have made our trip any easier, they planned the hotels, meals were taken care of, guide and driver, they thought of it all. Arranged for us to see the sites we requested.
I will go back to Bhutan and will use Dunk Asia again, and hopefully Nim with be our guide again.
Thank you truly for such kind words, our team is humbled and we are so glad you chose to travel with Druk Asia to the Land of the Thunder Dragon! All that you've described are truly such precious memories, we cannot agree more of our common love and respect for Bhutan. Anytime you wish to return, we'd be most happy to plan a new itinerary to deliver a refreshingly different experience that's tailored again just for your needs (Nim will also be waiting for you)!

I went on solo for this trip, and I would say Bhutan is definitely very safe for a female to travel alone!! When I arrived in Bhutan, I was greeted with the most friendly welcome by my tour guide, his name is Yeshi. He and the driver were very attentive and always taking initiatives because I think they already know what most tourist expects and probably sometimes are shy to ask. I also requested for more walking and cultural activities and they managed to make it happen! Without a doubt, I would go for Druk Asia again if I ever come to Bhutan again or will suggest my friends to go with them!!!
Another suggestion for tourist, bring some ibuprofen for motion sickness and medicine for diarrhea.
Thank you truly for such kind words, our team is humbled. Indeed, our tours are private and personalised, which means you always can and are in safe hands to fully enjoy your Bhutanese holiday. Thank you for sharing those tips too - we shall be waiting anytime you wish to make a return trip to the Land of the Thunder Dragon!

Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our 7D6N tour to Bhutan.
Tiger Nest trek is strenuous but we senior citizens made it to the top.
We are impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurants and restrooms.
Bhutan food is delicious. This is a unique place to visit.
Our team wishes to once again congratulate all of you on a tremendous job well done to the top! Just like you, we never fail to be awed by the splendour of the Tiger's Nest - and really, the Land of the Thunder Dragon itself. These are such precious memories, and to us, your satisfaction is always our top priority. We sincerely hope to welcome you back to Bhutan in the near future!

The attention given by the company was satisfactory.
Don't trust the weather forecast phone apps. It was warmer than it said it would be.
The food was the low point of the tour. Always the same, always too spicy.
Don't believe the "no-tip" information, they all expect tips, especially at hotels and restaurants. The tipping guideline for the guide and driver informed to us by the company is way out of reality. Don't feel obligated to overtip the guide and driver. We gave per person $50 for each one and I'm sure they appreciated it.
At the airport they have the personalized stamp printer. On the way out of the country you'll have taken all the nicest pictures and will be able to print the best stamps. We were taken to the post office in Thimphu right after we landed in Paro. We had taken only a couple of pics. We were never informed about the airport option.
The traditional clothes were only given to us on the last day of the trip, which was a bummer.
The hot stone bath was not as nice as advertised. The place was a bit shabby with almost no infrastructure.
Thank you for sharing these highlights of your trip and travel tips - we are sure other travellers would find them very useful for their upcoming trips. Indeed, Bhutan is always bettering herself to cater to the increasing influx of tourists who'd love to catch her shine; though time is definitely still needed to go even further and better. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Thank you once again for trusting Druk Asia to take care of your trip to the Land of the Thunder Dragon!

I had been wanting to go to Bhutan for a couple years. I got a book and did research online looking for what I wanted to do. I was not sure about what company to choose and you want to make sure it's also legit at the same time. I emailed a couple companies and I soon felt very comfortable with Druk Asia, the rep was very fast to respond, they never once pushed me to go through them or anything. I never felt pressured at all, they only responded to my emails . I liked that they didnt try adn sell me or send unsolicited emails etc. That sold me right away. So it's hard for me to plan things very far out so each time I got close to deciding when to do, then I noticed flights on druk air would be sold out for those dates. So what I did when I finally booked is I actually booked online the airline tickets myself at drukair.com for the dates I wanted. I figured worse case I would only be out a little money if it didnt work out. So after I booked those, it was about a month later that I pulled the trigger knowing I had the time off from work etc. So I contacted Drukasia to let them know I wanted to go ahead with a 4 day 3 night. I know many people thought why didnt you go longer well it is a little expensive but I figured this was perfect amount of time. So then the rep mentioned I would need to get passport scanned to them. Soon after I think a day she gave me instruuctions on how to do the money transfer. The very next day after I did that sent an email saying it was recived. Soon after they gave me a website that I could enter my informationa and go to to find information on my trip. Then about a week before my trip I got the visa info/ info on my guide etc. My experince with flight delays from DSM to Minneapolis to LAX was a disaster and I missed my flight w/ china southern to kathmandu as a result. I found a flight w/ Qatar that got me to Kathmandu in time thankfully*btw I will never fly with Qatar againlong story* so everything up to that point had gone so wrong things finally started to go right once I ot to kathmandu Aiort and a couple hours later my flight to Bhutan. After several days of flights I was exahusted. When I arrived at Paro airport and got my bags /security etc and walked out and my guide/driver were waiting. The one request I had right away was to go to my hotel so I could take a shower. So we went and ate first and then they took me to my hotel in Thimpu(I liked that hotel). So even though it was a short few days it went perfect I felt that my guide/driver were amazing and I enjoyed every minuture of it. I highly recommend this company and I hope to go back some day soon.
