It was a night mare!
as what previous review, TOTALLY agree!
Narrow staircase, unsafe feeling, smal room dark walk way and the worst is SOOOOOOO far to the mrt station (holding heavy luggage), u have to carry up to 3rd floor with no light, i almost feel down from the staircase! xxxxxx

By the way, how they wait their customer when c/in? They are hiding in a shop with closed steel gate (if you are lucky enough, you will saw the person in-charge came out from the shop. OMG.
Terrible to find the location, even the taxi driver, ppl passby and POLICE can't find the place~ It used up my half day to find it.

The hot water i feel like if you are not sure about, beter don't touch, feel like will tio electrical shock. Luckily they mistake cancelled my next day room. Outside the room was completely definitely noisy, other room's guest (should be long-stay ppl) even bang the door in the mid night. What kind of manners?

Sorry, i did not took the room's photo as i really don't wish to keep the memories in there.
The worst experience i had!

We had recently stayed in The Top - Ximen for 7 nights. What a mistake. We had no choice but to book this hotel as all hotels were fully booked during this time at Ximending. We should have stayed further away as Taipei public transportation system is very convenient.

The location was very difficult to find. We had to call for someone to pick us the 1st time. It was about 10 mins walk to the MRT station. It was not a hotel but converted from some old residential houses. There was no lift but narrow staircase. It was not very safe to stay in this hotel. It was in a dark alley. There were 2 pubs downstair. There was no security too at the main door as it was mostly left unlocked. It was very noisy in the nights with scooters and cars driving at the alley.

The family room we had was very very basic and the layout was very weird. There was not much space. There were no housekeeping at all. They expected the guests to use the same towels and amenties throughout their stay regardless of the number of nights. We had requested for housekeeing on Day 2 as we had some trash to clear and the towels were wet as the weather was cold so we wanted the towels to be replaced. They simply just hanged the towels outside the room with insufficient towels and did not bother to come into the room to clear the trash. They only did the so-called housekeeping on Day 5, excuse given was they could not find their spare key. They did not feedback that they could find the key in the 1st place.

Upon check-in, the room was not very clean. There were used tissues below the chair from the previous stay. The TV, the remote controls and the door knob were spoilt. They replaced another TV and it was spolit on Day 3. They replaced another one again on Day 5 and it was just as bad. The door knob was only fixed on Day 5. The bathroom was noisy with sound coming out from the tap when turned on. The water pressure from the shower head was not strong.

It was a very lousy experience staying in this hotel. We totally regretted it. We were totally disappointed too. We will not stay in this hotel again. It was not worth the price. There were better hotels in this area with just slightly higher price.

Info are all wrong. Need to walk at least 20 mins( if no luggage) to reach the place. Long narrow staircase to the room. Not suitable if you have medium luggage & old ppl. Room very small, walls dirty, no housekeeping & change of towels. I booked for 3 nites, have to use the towels for 4 days.
Rooms are noisy, can hear from next unit. theatre nearby, noise will slow down after 12 midnite.
Very dark & feel insecure to return back late. Need to walk the back lane.

Not value for money. Not for family with childrens.
