Ive stayed at Sam sen sam place a few times and its a good option and the owners are ultra friendly and helpful.

The rooms are getting a bit grubby now and the shared bathroom facilities are a bit dirty as well - the toilets have problem flushing.

I would still recommend this as a budget option with good vibes.

Room Tip: the aircon rooms downstairs are good

We stayed here for three nights. Staff were lovely and helpful, room was clean and great location - was a short work to Khao San road and the water taxis.

Only complaint is our room shared a wall with the kitchen and we were woken VERY early every morning to loud banging and food prep. Pay off is the room has a private bathroom which we had not requested which was great! If you're not an early riser, we suggest you steer clear of room 9!

Me and a friend stayed at Sam Sen Sam place for 3 nights. We payed 400 bht for a taxi from the airport. On arriving we saw a sign saying they pick you up for 150 bht each.

The people at reception were very helpful and were happy to help us plan routes to restaurants we wanted to visit and helped with telling prices we should expect to pay for local transport. We booked our train tickets to Chiang Mai through the hotel and payed 200 bht extra in commition. We didn't really mind as we would have payed nearly this amount to get to the train station and back to book it ourselfs as there's no online booking system.

The room was very basic, bed, bedside table and a small mirror, but clean. There's a shared bathroom with 2 showers and 6 toilets, but these were also always very clean. Breakfast was a choice from 3 set menus. I had toast fruit and a hot or cold drink, I don't remember the others sorry! Was basic but again nice an just enough. They sell cold drinks at reception a have computers or use at 30 bht an hour. There is wifi there, but its a bit temperamental and often cuts out. We payed 1900bht for 3 days double room with a fan through Agoda. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return :)

We stayed at Sam Sen Sam for one night at the end of our vacation. It was exactly what we were hoping for - a clean and quiet place to rest after walking around the busy city of Bangkok all day. This guesthouse is located about a 5-10 walk from Khao San Road on a nice mellow street. Our room and private bathroom were small, but quaint and nicely decorated. The breakfast that is included in the price was simple and delicious. The price isn't too bad either ($47 USD/nt.).

The staff were also very helpful - they held our luggage on our last day, and arranged for an air-con minivan to take us to the airport.

The hostel was very good, the rooms were small, but with everything you need for a short stay.
The bathroom and toilets were also very clean. Our room was with a fan only, nevertheless we could sleep normally. There is an included breakfast, which is perfect for a start of the day. The staff has helped us a lot: showed us where to go for a bit different scenery, where to find the public transportation boot, taxi...
In this region you are not near a metro station, but the boots, which pass on regular times, are actually a good option to get you to the metro station and it costs only 15 Baht.

I found the place as in some small and peaceful city: the plants on your side, while you have breakfast, the mango tree in the next yard.. precious.

You also have 7-11 on the corner and ATM ver before that
