We really enjoyed our 7 nights here. It's a quiet and relaxing place in the madness of Bangkok. Although the location is a bitt out of center, it's no problem. A taxi costs about 70-100 Baht to central Bangkok. You can also take the boat accross and take the river express from there anywhere for 20 baht p/person.

I definitely recommend this hotel. Staff is very friendly. Hotel is superbly clean. It's not luxurious but still comfortable. And laying by the swimming pool next to the river for some relaxing is just priceless!

We stayed in Sofitel Bangkok Silom later on the last night of our Holiday and I can honestly say we prefer this Ibis over Sofitel Silom hands down!

This is a very new Ibis and has a prime seeting on the banks of the Chao Phraya. It's the 'wrong' side of the river but an easy walk to the Skytrain; the hotel also run a shuttle bus there (but not back).

The rooms are pretty spacious, clean lines and have everything you need. Small but nicely appointed bathroom too.

There's free wifi in the lobby and the hotel's crowning glory is its lovely pool area...plenty of sunbeds and a lovely river view and the breeze from the river is much appreciated in sultry Bangkok. The restaurant is fairly priced and the food was good. There are lots of local places to eat just outside the hotel which is a nice local neighbourhood.

It's not the most convenient location for the airport...use the Skytrain if you can, I was stuck in traffic for sometime on the final leg of the journey.

I'd highly recommend this hotel if you want to be in this location...just a stone's throw from the Peninsula!

As I've visited almost all ibis hotels in Thailand, I would say this one is the best. The rooms are new. With swimming pool and river view, it's the best destination for a nice budget trip. Not too far from skytrain, but not too busy. I'm not sure if restaurants nearby will be difficult for foreigners, but it's perfect choice for local people.

After hunting for firstly a resaonable price and secondly a room for four, we stumbled apon this little gem.

Great price, family rooms consisit of a large double/king, and a set of bunks. This along with a playstation, with it's own tv screen, is awesome.

The pool is great, with a shallow one for the littler kids to play in.

Location is great, a short walk to the cross river ferry to a pier for either a public or a tourist boat. We did tourist one way and public back. Both fun.

The shuttle to the BTS is every 1/2 hour.

It really made our stay in BKK that much more enjoyable.....

An early check in for 700BHT was a relief after arriving at 0730hrs.

Would stay there again, with or without kids.
