My wife and I stayed three nights at the Royal Orchid Sheraton booked through the hotel website at the senior rate. The room was on the 16th floor and had a great view of the river. In good condition, the room was medium-sized with a queen bed. For independent travelers, using the river taxi is the most efficient form of transportation and there is a dock on the side of the hotel. There is also a free hotel river taxi to the Sky Train. The restaurants were good but expensive. There are two pools with food and drinks available at each. Free wireless internet is available in the lobby and business center but it is very slow. About eight stations with fast connections are also free, but there is a 30 minute limit per session.

We definitely would stay at the Sheraton in the future due to the river location and reasonable cost.

I stayed at the Royal Orchid Sheraton in October for 3 days and I enjoyed my stay there. The location is good, right beside Chao Praya River, the swimming pool was great, the room-service good ! The hotel has a free river shuttle going to the nerest skytrain station. If I have the chance, I will return at Royal Orchid Sheraton.

We recently returned from Bangkok and had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton Royal Orchid Hotel & Towers. The room was a great size, lovely bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Our room had a great view of the River. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent. We did not use ay of the hotels fitness or other amenities other than having an enjoyable cocktail in the evening as we were out all day sightseeing. Our intention was not to stay in the hotel and swim but to see the sights --excellent and clean--highly recommend

We visited the Sheraton for the AFL Grand Final and had our car burgled in the hotel parking lot, right in front of a security camera on a day when 'high security' was supposed to be the priority as 700 Australians were partying there.
Apparently there was no evidence of the break in on the security camera so I can only deduce that a ghost broke into our car.
Good work Sheraton, I've attended the AFL Grand Final at this hotel 6 times but will not be back and will advise other expats the same.

2 of us stayed at the R.O. Sheraton for 5 nights. We were upgraded to a suite on check in ( much appreciated at 12.30am after a delayed flight). The suite had double river view frontage. Room decor was a little tired, but a very comfortable King sized bed certainly helped.

In house restaurants had good quality food and were great value when you use Starwood Priviledge card thus halving food costs.

We had breakfast included in our package. All food on offer was terrific in taste and quality.

The garden pool area was quite comfy, but suffered from river noise and assocated diesel fumes at times.

The lobby bar area was quite comfortable, however the bustle of the hotel itself took away form the attemp at a relaxed atmosphere.

As a base for our Bangkok and touring activities it was a comfortable 4 stars all around.

All service was good, from reception/room service/restaurant point of view.

Adjoining River City Shopping Complex is joined to the Hotel via a 1st floor walkway. Quite handy for some good tailors and trinketry.

All up a fairly priced and comfortable stay.
