We stayed for four nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff is courteous and helpful. Check in is quick and easy. The hotel is a little older but everything is in great condition. The room is spacious and clean. The bathroom is well organized and has both bathtub and shower. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of food. We are on the 14th floor and have a great river view. We will definitely return to the Peninsula if we have the opportunity to visit Bangkok again.

The first hotel we bunked in for our Thailand vacation. Always a high end, warm, and luxurious and welcoming! The hotel location is perfect, the view from our balcony, breathtaking. The food... a delicious array of international cuisine so delicately arranged for the guests to savor.

Room tip: request for a higher floor with access to water view.

Just stayed for 3 nights for the first time at the Peninsula in Bangkok and enjoyed every minute.

It's located just across the river from the Mandarin, which is the reason for the most amazing skyline view (if you book a river view room which I would recommend) on to the Mandarin, Lebua State and Shangri La. It feels really nice to have the river in between the yourself and the city as it feels for relaxing and remote, even though the hotel offers free boat shuttles every fee
minutes to the Oriental and Taksin (Skytrain) piers.

Checkin was great, as our room was not ready yet around 12, we spend 2.5 hours at the pool. The pool sits in what feels like a lush garden on the river. There is plenty of space and shadow but it was pretty packed during our stay. The waiters serve iced water and fruit, also there is a classic pool menu. Pool can be a bit noisy towards the river as there are many (speed)boats and also on one day there was a lot of traffic on the helipad so
It was not as relaxing. I would recommend to take a spot towards the spa.

We would usually do some Sightseeing early morning and then when it got really hot around midday spend some time at the pool and have lunch. Food was delicious. They also have fresh coconot.

Our room was on the 11 floor with balcony and river view. The view was spectacular and we also enjoyed the balcony. Our twin room was very spacious, including a walk in closet and big bathroom (shower and tub, 2 sinks). We slept very well.

The decoration is elegant/ classic with an Asian twist. Very much feels like a traditional luxury hotel.

The concierge team was super helpful with tips how to get places and what to see. Also they helped me with getting my suitcase repaired by the airline in time.
We felt in very good hands.

All in all I highly recommend the Peninsula and will return myself if I travel to Bangkok again.

Dear FrlP,

Your experience is exactly what we are trying to provide - an island of respite in and otherwise chaotic, and wonderful, city. If we could recommend to people coming to Bangkok how to get the most out of the city we can now just direct them to your review. Get out and about in the city in the early part of the day and then spend the afternoon relaxing and cooling off by the pool and around the Hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review and for choosing to stay with us. Your closing comments that you would stay with us again is really the icing on the cake, we hope to see you again.

With best regards,
Shane Jolly

Great hotel. All you expect from the peninsula brand. Love the fact that the pool is divided into two allowing some peace and quiet from the kids! It's on the river to somoffers an additional bkk experience.

We really enjoyed our stay. This is truly a five star hotel. The service is great from the front desk to the very attentive poolboys. We had a great corner room with an amazing view (room 1012). I really can’t find any truly negatives about this hotel. I will definitely come back and recommend everyone to stay here.

Pros:
• The check in process was very smooth, and we already got our rooms at 10.00 am upon arrival
• The pool is amazing! And the pool boys are very nice and observant
• The concierge serve was superior. They knew exactly what to recommend for us when we asked for some simple shopping, chill but nice restaurants, upscale restaurants and tours. We really really appreciated the concierge service, as it made our shot time in Bangkok more valuable. In addition they spoke perfect English.
• The breakfast buffet had a great selection with everything from western to Asian options
• The rooms were in really good condition and very clean

Cons:
• The location – it is based on the ”wrong” side of the river, but you can take the hotel shuttle boat for free and be on the other side in 2 minutes. So it is not really a con, as it is super fast and easy.

Dear

Having a good Concierge service is very helpful in a new city or one that you are not so sure about, but to have one that on first acquaintances knows exactly what you are looking for, how to get you there and how to make the most out of it without sending you to all of the tourist traps is one of the things that define The Peninsula as the many reviews attest to. Our Chief Concierge and her team spend a lot of time getting out and about to ensure they can do this and have all been working in the Hotel for many years to perfect their delivery of this service. Thank you for acknowledging this as I know it will continue to motivate them.

It is great to know that this made up a good part of what seemed to be a very enjoyable stay. We appreciate you taking the time to share your comments and hope that we can welcome you back in the future. Bangkok is always changing, we keep on top of that, but there will always be something new to see when you come back.

Best regards,
Shane Jolly
