Yes, on the pricier end of the hotel spectrum but by USA standards ... well within our price category if making such a long trip in the first place. Very reasonably priced for the facilities, rooms, and level of service. I was torn on this hotel only because I didn't like the idea of being on the side of the river away from where all the sites are ... BUT they do offer a free boat across the river from their hotel in between Mandarin Oriental and Shangri-La hotels. It literally is constantly going back and forth so very minimal wait and goes until midnight. Riverside Cafe is great for having a meal and sitting by the river and yes the reviews are right .... you need to do the breakfast buffet ....soooo good. Room Service was ordered. Came up promptly and well prepared. Gym is small. No windows. Equipment is limited ... not even a pull up bar ... but not crowded so you can deal with it. Where they lack in size of gym ... the locker room/showers/hot and cold whirlpools/sauna, and steam room make up for it. Concierge staff is top-notch. They arranged a private tour guide for the day that took me to the tourist sites I wanted to see .. and it was great. They also mailed a bunch of stuff I bought back to the USA (on pricey side but hey....one less thing to...More
