Went with my friends to the outlet at Siam Paragon for lunch. We tried the roasted duck and other dishes (vegetable & fried rice)
The roast duck is not fragrance enough. The skin could be crispier and the gravy to be served on the side.
Overall, still acceptable.

The main dish which many (and myself) came for, is the fable Roast Duck.

Unfortunately, this is the very dish that failed big time. The skin was a tad dry which means the duck isn't fatten enough, the meat isn't marinated with enough herbs, it just wasn't fragrant enough. Each was sliced too thick, which means you have to bite into half size instead of eating whole. 5/10.

I chose with the combination of roast pork belly, which was a 8.5/10, skin was crispy good, was fatty enough and the meat tender, together with the mustard sauce, it was heavenly.

Dishes i ordered too, was stir fried vegetable, served fresh from the piping hot wok, a 7.5/10. The shrimp wonton in spicy black sauce meat fillings were fresh but somehow the taste doesn't add up, a 6.5/10.

Staff were service oriented, refilled our tea without asking, served dishes promptly but they served our appetizer dish last, which is fine to me, just amusing.

Being located in Siam Paragon, you pay Paragon pricing, and with that mediocre Roast Duck, its a no return to here for me.

I had better Roast Duck in Bkk...

If you give the duck in this place 5 stars, you have not tasted duck before. I'm sorry, the sauce was main stream fabric made, the duck was overdone, the ribs was ok but to much salt in the barbeque sauce, the "tortilla" came on cold platter so it went dry before it could be used. I can name 10 places just in china town in London that makes better crispy duck. Expected so much more from an expensive place like this located in a place like Paragon.

The best Cantonese food you can get in Bangkok, unlike most of Chinese restaurant in Bangkok who serve (Chiu Chow) style Chinese food. They serve authentic Cantonese food. Their roast duck is a must, all BBQ dishes in Hong Kong style. Although their sauce is a little sweet but it bring out the meat flavour. Excellent restaurant.
