We stopped in Bangkok for 2 nights on our way to Koh Samui for a week.
On arrival at the airport we simply booked a taxi to the hotel. Luckily I printed out the map and directions to the airport which was handy as the cab driver wasn’t sure of its location.
The hotel is down a one way street and walking distance to tourist sites and the river for boats down to the temples etc. Nothing was too far away.
We arrived very early in the day after a long flight and expected to be told we couldn’t check in. But the team checked us in and took us straight up to our room so we could have a rest which was really welcomed.
The rooms have unique decor in each one. Air con and overhead fan. Our room 214 had a large window overlooking a courtyard.
The lobby / breakfast area has some really cool decoration as well as relaxing places to sit and read or enjoy a drink from their cafe. Wi-fi throughout the hotel is fantastic and fast.
The team gave us a map of the city and were extremely helpful with whatever directions we needed and advice on boats etc.
Breakfast was delicious with the chefs cooking eggs and pancakes to order with little wait. There was also toast, jam, honey, cereals, yoghurts, fruit etc.
There’s a 7/11 about 100 Yard’s from the hotel if we needed anything but wasn’t really needed.
We were within walking distance to some fantastic restaurants and bars.
We visited Cozy House restaurant and the At-mosphere rooftop bar which were both great.

In short this was a great hotel with everything we needed for our stay. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. Location was perfect as close to main places we wanted to visit but yet was a very peaceful and calm in such a busy city!

I stayed here in early November on my way back to NZ from Iran. It was such a pleasure to arrive at this beautiful place. I loved it! The place is unique and the photos and other comments on the tripadvisor site are true and accurate.I would definitely stay again and for longer and recommend to friends and family. I've stayed in hotels in Bangkok in the past, however I decided to stay here on this short stay as I didn't want to be in the city and I'd read all of the wonderful comments on Tripadvisor. You won't be disappointed!

We stayed at the Phranakorn-Nornlen for three nights as a group of five people with two children (7- and 9-year-olds). Staying at the hotel shaped our stay in Bangkok: we got to explore an area where we wouldn't have stayed otherwise with residential buildings, street food stalls, etc. The rooms were lovely. Using the river boat taxis was exiting and fun. And we took a bus to the Lumpini Park as well.

I’ve been wanting to stay at this place for years and this November I finally had the chance. The rooms are lovingly designed, clean and quiet with bothac and fan (perfect for when you want to open the windows at night and hear the murmurings of the city and the birds around you or in the morning as the neighbourhood wakes up).
The shared courtyard is cool and quiet - great for relaxing and mingling.
The breakfast was delicious and there’s a different local speciality on offer every morning. The coffee was also excellent!
The hotel has loads of interesting details to discover and there’s even a great roof terrace available for sunset views of a giant golden Buddha at the nearest temple. There’s even what looked like a pizza oven on the roof...
I will definitely be back again!

My husband, sister-in-law and I were delighted with our stay here while we were in Bangkok. When the heat and the craziness of the city chewed us up, we came back to our little sanctuary for mint tea, cool rooms and relaxing atmosphere.

The staff at the hotel are extremely kind, gentle people who will go out of their way to assist you in any way they can. The hotel is a little bohemian in decor and vibe, but it is very quiet, safe, and it is very clean at all times. Though we were not travelling with children, it is a great place for families and we saw several delighted children about the place.

You will be awoken in the morning to the sound of birds, not the thrum of the streets below. The breakfasts are amazing, and the staff even had organized activities for guests as we were there for the Lori Krathong festival. Overall, this place is a little oasis in the middle of Crazy Town.
