Great variety of thai food, beautifully presented, good value (not as cheap as street food, but lower cost than you would pay in Europe/Oz/NZ).

Thank Thomas M

Vogue fashion night at Siam Square was seriously glitzy loads of late shopping, gorgeous kids, flashing lights and super loud Asian bands.
We'd planned to eat at Baan Kuhn Mae but they wouldn't take reservations after 19.00. Not sure if that's always the case anyway ended up here. Opposite an empty Maxims, above the band and filled with a 99% thai clientele.
Great food as ever in Bangkok wonderful pad thai with shrimp tamarin special sauce. Loads of gorgeous veggies and way more options than were featured on the english and picture menus.
Wine was drinkable, red fine but white not great and super pricey by the time they add 17% to the 300 B list.
The ice cream special looked amazing tho we were not restrained enough in our original choices to try it.
Great space especially for a mall, and loved our cocoon seat.
Bangkok is so clean these days. They advertise fines for littering and the public toilets at central near Groove were in a fine state at midnight. That's surely more than I could say for London Sydney New York or Nice.
Even with the pollution it's a wonderful city.

My friends and I were in Bangkok a couple of days back and we decided to drop by Centralworld Groove after a long day of walking. Apinara was the restaurant that caught our eye as it was featured in the Royal Thai Airways magazine.

Since Apinara is newly opened, there wasn't a lot of choices in the menu. We gave it a try and loved the food. We had quite a meaty steamed seabass - very fresh, very flavorful and not as spicy (as requested by some of my friends). Satisfying.

The rest of our dishes were porky. We also had the red pork curry, which was delicious. We had the roast pork belly - very distinct flavor from char siew, and we love it. We also had the pork ball soup - like tom yam, which was surprisingly delicious as I thought it would make the dish more "heavy".

Will definitely return, and hopefully it has the full menu up and running.

I visited this place for the first time but had visited its sister restaurant nara many times before. Overall this place is really worth a visit for food, experience and environment. Starting with food its menu offers traditional Thai food but some are very tasteful and quite innovative even for Thai people like me. I love the fishball curry which has a spicy and great taste of chili and coconut. When you eat with brown rice it is fantastically delicious. But the highlight for the visit to this place would be its great dessert ice cream of coconut flavor. Though they offer durian Thai tea and Thai milk flavors as well. But the coconut flavor would be the most perfect one to eat with a so- called buffet Thai toppings including 12 toppings that will make your mouth watering. The toppings include corn, jackfruit, coconut, red bean, taro, lodchong. This is a unique presentation and offering fir this kind of dessert. Must try!
