Definitely pricey. Book via some promotions and get 30 or 40 percent off otherwise go for the lunch sets! We came for a dinner booking a bit late at 7 and got 30% off from eatigo. We ordered the mini omakase - 1500 baht which comes with some sushi - 2 california rolls and 2 spicy tuna rolls and some sashimi - hamachi, tuna belly and salmon. The quality was exceptional. The fish was extremely fresh and not too cold like it was out of the freezer. It was just right. For the main course You get a choice of beef or fish which is served on a hot stone plate, and comes with soup and rice. The beef was perfectly cooked as ordered medium rare and comes with the usual 3 dipping sauces. Ponzu, some creamy sesame sauce and spring onion oil dip. All tasted fresh and delicate. The miso soup had the perfect balance of miso, dashi and came piping hot. The quality of the desserts was also remarkable - the ice cream which was green tea wasn't outstanding but not bad - the soft cheesecake seemed to be just cooked to order - warm, crumbly and in the middle still rare and extremely like a cheesy cloud. For the more expensive omakase there is choice of cod fish and tempura. This was the best tempura i had in Bangkok - the tempura was light, fluffy and like you were biting flour that was full of air. Although the pricing here is quite high, find the applicable discounts and come enjoy a special meal. It really is terrific experience. The service is also very good. Thumbs up for JW Marriott.
