Went there for a nice dinner during the festival time, food was good and the setting by the river was very good. Service was fine but quite slow and the meal dragged on longer than it should have. Perhaps we were not in the mood for a long dinner but I thought service was too slow for my liking. Can't fault the location though, lunch would have been a different experience too. Duck was good, desserts excellent.

I celebrated Christmas dinner with friends, paid 2800THB per person. What we got was fine 5 courses French food but small portions.

If I wanted to filled my stomach fulled, one thing possible was eat more free bread.

For petite four, it was served on rounded simple plate that very different from my first time here many years ago which so fantastic and just a dinner on normal day. We paid about 1200THB per person for a la carte and really impressed.

Please bring back your value!

Came here by recommendation from our hotel for our last night in Chiang Mai, it couldn't of been any more perfect. The staff and service was second to none. The food is to die for! The atmosphere is very relaxed and romantic with the lovely live jazz band playing in the background. If I ever come back to Chiang Mai this will be my first stop. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Have been to Thailand 25 times (pretty much annually) since 1989, and though I love Thai food, I also like to sample others. French has gotten terrific here, not just in Bangkok but up here in Chiang Mai. Had great grand menu for about $100 that included a black truffle cappuccino--the first time in dozens of times trying truffles where I've finally gotten to understand the appeal of truffles. Main course, I had kobe beef. So rich, so tender. Previous comment by YCJ needs to be taken with a ton of salt. He/she asked for "lean" steak, restaurant said they didn't have such a thing and recommended Kobe...and then YCJ complained how fatty it was. Well, if you're going to a gourmet restaurant or even a steakhouse, "lean" and "great tasting" do not go together. The fat is what makes beef tasty, and Kobe is loaded with it and flavor. You don't eat it every day, but it is one of those great treats that separates us from vegetarians.

I have visited Le Crystal many times and never fail to be impressed with their service and food excellence.

Tonights extensive set menu was first class, and the evening included demonstrations of Thai Dancing, your own Krathong to float down the river and then a paper lantern with fireworks.

The band played beautifully as always. I took my own selections of wines purchased locally at Rimping Supermarket which they served and there was no corkage charge.

The evening was special and my three Thai friends enjoyed it as much as I
