We fell in-love with Ping Nakara Hotel! The building itself is beautifully designed with interesting antiques spread throughout the sitting room, library and veranda. The room was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was great where we were able to order anything from the a la carte menu in addition to the buffet. There was turn-down service with fresh flowers left on the pillows every night. The free wifi actually worked well everywhere in the hotel. But what impressed us most was the service! The staff were all so friendly, helpful and accomodating and did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Because it is a smaller boutique hotel, we actually felt like they knew who we were and cared if we were enjoying our stay.
We were there during low season so the hotel was not full, but I get the sense there is always a very calm serene atmosphere. So if you are looking for a more "social' hotel, this may not be the one for you. That being said, this was our favourite of the 5 hotels we stayed at in Thailand and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful romantic getaway in Chiang Mai.More
