This is a funky place off a narrow alley in the Old City of Chiang Mai. It is an area filled with restaurants, place to hang out, and some notable Wats. While I would rate my room as 2 Star, it was large and had its own private bath. It was clean and certainly an excellent place to stay for the very low price. I had a car which I was able to park in the nearby alley. It would be a challenge to find on your own without a GPS. They also have a restaurant which offered a good typical Thai meal and a tour office. The front desk person was friendly and spoke English, which was a bonus.

The staff are helpful and travel agent was great. Swimming pool is down in the lounge but I'd nice as people are around to talk to. Roof top has loungers
The fan room I'd fine (for what you pay!), but I found it too warm.. the toilets were OK but for the price you can't complain!

So glad that we found this hostel. It's got a bar, a pool and serves good food. The rooms are comfy with en suites and some have AC (slightly more expensive but personal preference). Nick and the other staff always gave us a warm welcome and shared a drink with us in the evening. There were groups of travellers and families both staying here in harmony with no issues. I'd highly recommended this place to anyone visiting CM!

A group of us stayed there and for 2 nights. They gave each one of us a different price as we were walked in guest and at the different hours of the same day then later on when we complained none of them took responsibility and basically ignored it and we let it go.
The next day we decided that we want to go to elephant camp so the gentleman who claimed to be the owner of sk2 guest house said he will drive us there if we pay 1200 Bahts. He claimed the distance between the guest house and Mae rim elephant camp would be 2hours each way ( which turned out not to be more than 30 minutes ) so we accept the price and jumped in his red truck. Later on when we realized the distance and price wasn't matching we complained after returning to the guest house and he claimed he said if traffic 2 hours which he insulted our intelligence.
While we were at elephant camp we talk to the tour guide and the tour guide have told us that the driver will get 20 to 30% commission from the elephant camp by bringing them to the elephant camp so then when we realize how much money we have paid for transportations for the short distance and also paid +20% to 30% Commission which when you think about it it will adds up to a lot of money riding in a truck sitting in the back that they wasn't even funny and wasting our time trusting dishonest people I strongly suggest you to not buy any kind of tour from this guest house because you will end up paying twice more that you can pay outside and yet you will feel stupid why you have made a decision by going with recommendation of staff at the guesthouse.
Later on we have talked to the other guests at the guesthouse and some of them had bad feeling or heart feeling about the same situations and some of them were even saying that they weren't going to check out sooner if they will find the center nice place for the same price they have eight overall staying at this place is OK but please do not fall for their nice charm to PAY 3 TIMES MORE ON TOURS AND TRANSPORTATIONS . Shop around before be cheated by the owner or "claimed to be the owner which he seemed to be "

We had a good time at SK House 2. I stayed with 2 friends, in a three person, aircon room. It was good. Nothing special but the place and the sheets were clean and the aircon strong. The pool was fab and we like the restaurant food too. The staff were helpful when asked and there are small lockers to store passports etc. The hotel did look after our belongings whilst we went on a trek for three days which we really appreciated. All in all- a good place to stay!
