While we knew it was under renovation we can live with that, we upgraded to a orchid deluxe room and the room itself was ok, this is the third time we have stayed here, but the last time was several years ago, it is a great location, the room was large with good A/C but that is were the positives end. The shower was filthy with mould all over the lower tiles and the drain covered in ? The pool was closed, the reception hasn't improved service since our last visit, very unaccommodating, we organised a late check out at 1pm, only to have them ring us at 12:10 to ask if we wanted to stay another night as check out is at 12pm - no processes or internal communication. It is under new managment and is now run by Movenpick, so hopefully the staff with undergo some much needed training and maybe even learn how to smile. The new entrance for the hotel is down a side street, but not even the taxi drivers know where the new entrance is. With the Le Meriden across the road and another hotel Centara? next door they better get their act together, we explored the option of checking into another hotel, but couldnt be bothered in the end, the price we paid being in Asia should have been so much better, try an alternative until they complete renovations and relauched as things...While we knew it was under renovation we can live with that, we upgraded to a orchid deluxe room and the room itself was ok, this is the third time we have stayed here, but the last time was several years ago, it is a great location, the room was large with good A/C but that is were the positives end. Breakfast: Omlette station & freah fruit was great, their only saving grace, everything else was tasteless, cold and bland.More
