Very beautiful, stylish Hotel, very nice and helpful staff. I had a great time there. Thank you so much again, especially "Kun Oh" from reception. Perfect English, smart and helpful. Good breakfast included and very beautiful, relaxing and clean pool - area ... A secret oasis in the middle of Chiang Mai City just beside the major sight of Chiang Mai, the Wat Pra Singh, for all who are thirsty for a decent and exotically beautiful hotel, where everything is done to make you feel well. I only don't rate "excellent" because one afternoon I had a very ugly smell in my room like from the canalisation, but this is something I know from Thailand. I think it is hard to avoid and the Buri Gallery - staff is doing everything to not make it a big problem: aroma oil lamps ecc. ;-) ... and the internet was a little bit of a problem because they had only one pc and this most of the time did not really work, but the internet access (if it works) is free and I think, this is not a big problem, that will last. I'm sure, they will get it repaired soon, as everyone is very professional there.

Room Tip: I had a deluxe room and was very content. Worth every single Baht.

The staff in this hotel are great and very helpful.
The location is great
However the rooms need upgrading and modernising. The walls are thin so noise travels easilyThe lady who made the breakfast was lovely but the choice and variety was very limited

We were enormously dissapointed. The hotel was very cute and yes, they had free wifi and a nice movie collection if you got bored. However, the cuteness was outweighed by the fact that it was dirty and there were ants and spiders everywhere. We found plenty in our bathroom and even some ants in the bed. The only thing worse than the ants was the service. The women working the desk tried their best to be nice, but the management wouldn't let them help us with even the most basic requests - like asking for more towels (they needed permission), changing money (only the owner could do that and I never met him despite asking for him every day on our stay), or using the phone to make a toll free call when my ATM card went missing. We stayed a number of hotels all across Vietnam and Thailand and this stood out as the only dark spot amongst the many great places. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for lodging.

Very homey guest house in the heart of the ,"Old City"
Friendly staff, rooms upstairs have more windows than downstairs.
Very small pool, but good for cooling off.
Sunday walking market starts right outside the door.

Easy access to Bike tour company, vegetarian restaurant, Buddhist Temples, inexpensive massage spas.
Walls are a little thin and lacking in sound privacy.
The architecture is traditional Thai style, lots of wood and woven mat on the walls and ceiling.
I really appreciated the English proficiency of the staff. It was easy to ask questions and get help for any number of things. Including a reasonably priced ride to the airport in a guest house car.
Breakfast is included and with several choices, always satisfactory.

I have stayed in a coupe of places in Chiang Mai and this was my favorite.

Room Tip: I would go upstairs, facing the pool is to the east and less hot in the afternoon
