We stayed in a room around the pool and was very pleased with both the room and the hotel itself. We didn't really have time to sunbathe for long but did enjoy the pool area and it seemed an ideal place for families.

The restaurant was excellent for both variety and quality at breakfast and when we ate there in the evening. The staff were courteous, efficient and charming at all times.

We had only 2 areas for concern. The first was mosquitoes which I think is due to being close to the river. The hotel will give you a spray in the restaurant area if they are irritating, and will also spray the room for you which is a necessity. We bought a can of stronger spray from the supermarket to ensure there were no problems. The other minor area of concern was that the room was full of furniture, but no space to put your things, so we left most items in our suitcases.

We also borrowed bikes from reception and enjoyed riding around the local area and into Chaing Mai itself.

Overall highly recommend this hotel

I have just returned from six nights in Rimping Village.

What a professionally-run outfit! I stayed in a deluxe room: all clean, fast wifi and stocked with everything one would expect of a five-star hotel. The hotel restaurant is always open and serves fresh, clean and very tasty Thai and Western Food for very reasonable prices.

The hotel itself is located just across the river from the night markets and a short tuk tuk ride to the Old City as well as a short distance from a full-service supermarket, numerous inexpensive laundries and other amenities. The area is very safe day and night.

But the hotel's real asset was its employees. Everyone from the wait-staff, to receptionists, to the room attendants, drivers and groundspersons was gracious, courteous, keen to assist, make bookings and give the best advice about how to get about Chiang Mai and what to do. Their efficiency, connections (with tuk tuk drivers, taxis etc) and can-do attitude was indeed impressive.

I would definitely stay there again and recommend the hotel to anyone travelling in Chiang Mai.

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms were further back from the street and very well appointed. That said I did not see the...

We spent two nights at this hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff were courteous, plentiful, polite, knowledgeable and eager to assist their clientele in any way. The lobby was ordinary, but contained two internet accessible computers, one which could be used for printing. We did not use the pool, but it was spacious and used by other guests. The hotel is enclosed by a wall and on a side street so that it is quiet insde the premises. There is ample free parking space. The breakfast area has free newspapers, places to sit outside under trees, and the food is more than adequate. The rooms were comfortable and clean with a full sized TV and a minifridge and free bottled water. The bathroom had a shower and tub with ample hot water. Most trips to sightseeing areas or good restaurants ranged from 60-100 baht in a tuk-tuk. We woulld stay here again.

The staffs are really helpful and making our stays there as good as possible. My 18 months old baby likes the pool. It would definitely revisit again!

Slightly outside the old city but this wasn't an issue for us. We were picked up from the train station which was a tremendous help. We arrived a bit early and the room wasn't ready yet. It was fine with us. The staff recommended a lovely lanna restaurant along the ping river just past the Vietnamese restaurant. It was so good, we went back several times. The room was spacious, and water and fruit were complimentary. The bathroom was adequate. Breakfast was nice and served outdoors, with a good selection of food. Eggs were made to order. The fresh fruit was amazing. Pool was large and there was plenty of seating. The receptionist was very helpful in making excursion reservations. There are two computers for use. My best tips are to get a scooter for 200 bahts per day and see the city, go to the Sunday market and go see doi suthep. I'd stay here again!
