Review of Salefino Koh Samui

Salefino Koh Samui
Ranked #8 of 1,461 Restaurants in Ko Samui
Price range: US$15 - US$36
Description: Enjoy the wonderful seaview drinking an Aperol Spritz or a glass of wine from our selected cellar, with some chillout music. Shabby chic interior and only six tables, Salefino is the place to taste italian seafood, Mediterranean and traditional recipes. We only use best raw materials, fresh and supplied from top suppliers in Samui. Especially in high season, we strongly suggest to book the table, both for lunch and dinner.

It was my first visit to Salefino which only opened a few months ago. We went for lunch but it is an ideal place for watching the sunset! Since they only have a few tables it is essential that you book to assure you get a table. Our friend had arranged that in time so we were fine. We started with an Aperol Spritzer followed by a nice bottle of Pecorino. We shared a few starters: bruschetta with Anchovis, clams and mussels in white wine sauce (outstanding)and then for mains Ravioli with Ricotta and Spinach (which was a bit dry) Spagetti Bottarga and gnocchi and enjoyed all very much. For desert we just had a lemon sorbet enhanced by a Vodka! Service was very friendly and prompt. Same Owners as Pepenero.

After more than 2 weeks of vacation we needed a break from Thai food and we end up in choosing a safe harbor: Italian cuisine. Literally a harbor since the tiny and cozy restaurant is placed on a little port. Food was delicious and the atmosphere very relaxing. Since the place is small we had the opportunity to speak with the owners (Italians) who made our dinner a familiar and pleasant time. Definitely suggested.

We wanted to eat something besides Thai
food for a night, so we ventured to Salefino (near Bophut) for an Italian meal.

My husband and I had some of the best pasta we've ever eaten... everything was so delicious and fresh. I enjoyed sipping some
Aperol Spritz and we finished with the Tiramisu and a beautiful espresso.

Silvia was so lovely, with her recommendations and conversation. Highly, highly recommend, soooooo delicious!

Salefino was a great place for dinner, recommended to us by a resident on the island. We went with he family and enjoyed a great meal, seafood pasta, fried calamari that was not on the menu but a request from my two boys, Camilla the chef made a great bowl of it. Wonderful place, we went back for a second meal as the boys loved it so much. Little Umberto, the chefs son made us his first dessert creation which was eaten in a few gulps by the boys.
