its just so comforting to know that after several meat-heavy weeks, one can drop into Com Chay Nang Tam and assuage your conscience with a superb vegetarian meal..after frequenting the place for nearly two decades my order never changes: deep fried crispy tofu, fresh spring rolls, fried spring rolls, crispy noodles, stir fried bean sprouts with shitake mushrooms, deep fried corn kernels
its astonishing that the quality has been maintained for the last couple of decade

Specifically chosen because it is a vegetarian restaurant, it didn't disappoint nor blow us away. A family-run establishment with a back-alley vibe to it, it offers an interesting menu with a home-cooked feel to it. Keep away from the faux meats which, although strikingly similar in appearance to their animal originals, have that distinctively cardboard flavour that only Texturised Vegetable Proteins can give. One can't really blame the chef though as she's presumably never tasted a real pork sausage! The staff is very kind.

Stumbled into this place completely by accident. We are not vegetarians, but were excited to step away from all the meat in the street food we've been eating. We came between lunch and dinner and were the only ones there. The waitress was very friendly and welcomed us in. The food was great. Finally, a delicious, cool, refreshing salad of banana flower, pineapple, bean sprouts, herbs, and peanuts (huge portion). We also had one of the set menus with lots of different things to try. Liked everything. And had spring rolls w/ "pork" and "shrimp", which were fabulous. Two huge meals with drinks for less than $10 US. Though of course, not as cheap as street food, this is very affordable. Great place. Would highly recommend whether you are a vegetarian or not.

Great little place that does fantastic set menus - an easy and safe way to try a bunch of different things you might not otherwise might not think of trying. Great to be able to order a set menu knowing everything will be vegetarian. We ate there a couple of times and everything was delicious.

As a couple where one of us is veggie and the other eats everything, we were excited to try this place out on our first evening in Vietnam. Overall we were impressed, we've not eaten food like this before so it felt fun and original. It's not for those who don't like the taste or texture of meat as some of it really resembles meat - the pork too much so for the veggie at the table. The vegetable noodles weren't anything special, but the lassis were good. The staff were very friendly and the food was cheap. Not for every day but we'd definitely recommend a visit!
