Was at the Temple of Literature and some locals brought me here when I asked for a good lunch spot. I think they misunderstood me and thought I wanted Singaporean food because I am Singaporean.
This was my worst meal during my 2 weeks in Vietnam. I had the claypot salted egg fried rice with roasted chicken (70,000 VND I think), plus a coffee yoghurt (30,000 VND I think). The coffee yoghurt was fine but the rice is terrible. And this comes from someone who has eaten lots of fried rice.
The rice and chicken are both very hard and dry. I barely touched my food and left behind almost the whole claypot. What a shame. And I find this an insult to actual Hainanese chicken in Singapore. This shop deserves to close down and stop sullying Singapore’s national dish.
