The Koto is one of my two favourite hotels in Viet Nam (the other is the Casablanca in Sa Pa).
The people working here are exceptional: nothing it too much for them. They are ever attentive and helpful and in every way possible. They even help you get across the street -- an ordeal given the amount of traffic and I don't think many five star hotels do that!
The place is quiet, pleasant, and secure -- but note it is not luxurious. The rooms are comfortable and clean and there is a homey feel to the place. But there is no lift and breakfast is at a sister hotel across the street -- one of the reasons, perhaps, that they do so many traffic warden duties but also why such an excellent hotel is so cheap.
The charm is endless -- a glass of iced water is always given on entry to the lobby, all is smiles,
and the best possible service in Viet Nam. Very highly recommended!More
