Owner description: This night market on the edge of West Lake starts up around 2 a.m., when wholesalers arrive to claim their spots with piles of roses and chrysanthemums, and lasts until sunrise. Quang Ba is especially worth a visit during Tet, when flowers are needed for the many new year's celebrations.

Coming from someone whose family owns a florist in Brooklyn, New York this was a great experience. Although it was very busy with locals and tourist it is definitely something to see. It reminded me of the flower district in New York City only more crowded and a larger quantity of flower type. Being born into the flower industry I thought I could name almost every flower I see. There were types of flowers here I never even knew existed. It is definitely a must see if you are visiting Hanoi. There were also people making flower arrangements and it was nice to see the differences in the way we make arrangements in New York to the way they make them there. It is definitely worth a quick visit to walk through even if you have no intention of buying anything.

If you want to see all the beautiful flowers of Vietnam this is a great place to visit. You won't see as much tourists because it is a bit outside of Hanoi center. Take bus 55 from Long Bien bus station that will take you in 15 minutes from of city center to the flower market. The early morning or the evening it will be the best time to visit. Also the local food is amazing and every stand has its own specialty.

Authentic market, worth a visit if you are an early bird or as we did, when arriving by night train from Sapa at 04:30. Great opportunity to go there directly from the train. We had our own transport from the railway station.
The market is bustling of people coming and going with flowers on motor bikes and cycles. People bargaining, working, eating and sleeping.
If you take photos, they expect you to buy something of them so just be quick and it normally works fine.

It's about halfway to the airport from the city center, but it's worth visiting this market if you or your significant others like flowers. Seemed like honest prices, nice vendors.

Had heard about the flower market and after seeing the flower vendors on cycles in the streets just had to visit the market.

I was warned of I starting early but also wanted my full nights sleep so took a taxi from the hotel to reach the market around 6:00 AM.

It was a riot of colors and flowers of every type some being sold from stalls others being sold from the back of two wheelers.

It's just a treat to walk through and admire the stalls and the sales. Could not walk away without buying a bunch of flowers although most of the negotiations is with sign language.

Honest sellers as I could have been ripped off, but was not.

A must visit to feel a normal day of life in the Vietnamese life.
