We always book IHG hotels as we find the quality of their product fits our needs perfectly. The Corner Suite we had was huge with great views over HCM. For anyone doing business then book this room as there is a separate lounge area where you can sit at a boardroom style table and hold a meeting plus order catering from the restaurant. No need to hire a conference room. Enjoyed the benefits of the Club Lounge - the selection of food at night is very limited but still nice to have with a drink or two!

This high rise modern hotel is near the very centre of the city and within easy walking distance of most of the museums, Post Office, Catherdral, Opera house and restaurants. It has a very grand entrance attended by courteous and friendly staff. In fact all of the staff are friendly and helpful.

We arrived from the airport at 6.45 am and had to wait in the lobby for a few hours before they could find a room available. The exchange rate was not good at the hotel and the prices quite high...... a cup of coffee was 135,000 Dong!

However, once in our room things started looking up. The room was bright (we were on the 13th floor) and the bathroom cavernous with a double shower.
You could easily get wifi in the room and for that matter anywhere in the hotel.

The pool was on the 3rd or 4th floor and was glass sided on two sides. There was a gym on the same floor and spa treatment rooms.

The breakfast choice was huge catering for all tastes.

I've knocked off a star for the pure reason that we were given outdated and poor maps of the city by the hotel when we requested one and the fact that it was quite expensive to dine and drink.

Would we return? Possibly not, bearing in mind that there are several cheaper and good quality hotels nearby (Caravelle, Sheraton, Rex etc) that are closer to the centre and attractions.

Bear in mind that there is a lot of building work going on in Saigon at present so many pavements are unusable and the continuing construction of the Metro is causing traffic and pedestrian chaos.

Room tip: Higher floor the better. Spa, gym and pool are on 3rd or 4th floor

As well as fast reliable Wifi. Comfortable Room with a great view. The bed was amazing and certainly has some really good sleep whilst on a recent trip. One important thing is that the air conditioning was spot on, I set it on a comfortable temperature and it didn't move all week.

Plenty of Amenities in the room after room service did their thing. Staff are really pleasant and more than happy to help no matter the enquiry. If you have IHG Status it is recognised with a room upgrade and fresh fruit/water and the staff really make you feel valued.

The Lounge is outstanding and certainly should be added to any booking. Club access affords the best view on most sides of the hotel. Sweeping views while you enjoy a famous Vietnamese Coffee first thing in the morning with a breakfast.

Ask for a high floor so you can enjoy a great view of HCMC. Also book a car from the airport to pick you up, especially if this is your first time to HCMC, I dont think you would be disappointed if you stayed here.

Room tip: Book Club Access with your room

I'll start with the fact I would have ranked this at 5 stars, but the wasting of my time in the end is something I can't tolerate.
The Good:
They have an exceptionally updated gym and wonderful pool area. The rooms are modern and well kept. Buffet breakfast is one of the best in town. Room service is pricey, but tasty. Well located in D1. If you are a Starbucks lover, there is one located directly next door, but try the Vietnamese coffee (it's superb).

The bad:
Pay a lot of money to have subpar customer service(CS). You can receive infinitely better CS for half the cost only 4 blocks away. If you are a points traveler or value your time - skip this place. They don't like to recognize their customers stays. I wasted multiple trips to be told they will post, but a month later informed I am not entitled to my stay.

Room tip: View of the church is nice, but if you try to work with your customer service you'll be out of luck.
