My wife and I absolutely love this hotel and stay here every time we visit Saigon (4 times in 5 years). We love the local alley way which turns into a market every morning. It is a quiet location (quiet is hard to find in Saigon) and a two minute walk to the main tourist strip. The staff are lovely and do speak very good English. The rooms are equipped with everything you need and are extremely clean. We do pay a little extra for a balcony room, just to watch the locals. The hotel is priced well and suits us perfectly.
I have read some not so great reviews and just don't understand some people. Seriously what do expect for USD$35 a night!!!!! A lift? Really! A kitchen? Really! Buffet breakfast? Really! Clearly you cannot walk a flight of stairs and did not chose the Pho for breakfast (the Pho is amazing!) If you do expect these things and want to be just another tourist then please stay at the Marriott or any other mundane chain hotel (and ten times the price), otherwise take in the culture, watch the locals and relax, you are on a holiday after all.
Thank you once again Cat Huy and staff. The 'Dixons' home away from home!More
