Dear 893kyleb - Thanks for your visit to our young restaurant. We are glad you enjoyed the taste and food. We find it review a bit severe and harsh on us, especially given we are in soft opening mode and very much eager to get feedback to improve, rather than receiving bad reviews here that will affect our business in the long run. But we took your review very seriously and discussed it with our service team, and our kitchen team including Chef Karim.
On the food portions and prices, we hear you - we have to date received comments both ways on this, most advising that the price point is right and even affordable for the quality, given use premium imported ingredients that you know cost high if you live here, and we operate an hygienic kitchen to international standards run by professional chefs and cooks. This is a choice of quality and hygiene and this a market were we believe there is demand. This is confirmed by many guests who have visited our restaurant in our soft opening so far and know that one cannot expect a full main dish of quality imported lamb or beef for VND150,000. This is of course different at street side stalls and restaurants using low quality local meat. Having checked the records, I note your total bill for dinner for your table of two was VND450,000/USD19, net. On the portions specifically, the dishes are mezze (small dishes) sizes for some, and we are considering offering the choice of two sizes of dish for the same items for guests expecting real main dish sizes.
On your point about the menu saying a salad coming with the dish you ordered, this is indeed a mistake of the waiter who took care of your table who should have known better the menu and offered to rectify. We sincerely apologize for this mistake that should not have happened: we have started retraining the team on this and are confident this will not happen again. Again, this is not uncommon in the launching phase of a restaurant and this is why we normally expect a bit of lenience from visitors in our soft opening.
