after being in benthanh we went to saigon square to finish thw day, most things.there are.much more expensive than benthanh, and mainly for cloth and bags.
we found some great dry fit shorts and shorts at reasonable prices around 4-4.5$ each....worth coming.
This mall is mostly air condition and has lots of solve and stores with all kinds of merchandise including Nice Clothing, knock off bags and other counterfeit merchandise, but you can also find really good Bargains here for all kinds of things, especially clothing. The sellers are less aggressive then the other tourist malls nearby. It is located across the street from the entrance of the Saigon Centre shopping mall on the side where the entrance to the Sedona Suites Grand Hotel is.
It’s just hundreds of little stores filled with cheap knock off Chinese goods. Really nothing of quality. The hallways are so small that people can’t fit through and thru keep running into each other. The ventilation is really poor. Don’t waste your money. Go to a better place if you actually want souvenirs. Hardly any stores Even sell Vietnamese themed souvenirs.
Went there with my wife last month. Not quite organised I would say, the prices for some items were ridiculously high. HOWEVER, having been to the infamous Ben Thanh Market just few miles away, I totally recommend this as a more trustworthy place to find decent stuffs, as the quality of products are way better here.
Everyone who comes to HCMC pays a visit to this place and inevitably the allure leads to a purchase. A word of warning however, do not buy DVDs from the DVD trader in there - the only provider. He will give you blank and dud DVDs which you only discover once back in your country.
I made the big mistake of buying 10 TV Series from this guy only to have to throw them all away as not one of them will play and having bought many in Bali i know my DVD player is not the fault!
