The location of this hotel is excellent. Most of the staff that I deal with are quite friendly. The breakfast was good. If you sit by the windows, you will see a view of Saigon. The room is clean, but don't expect spotless. The bad part about this room is, some rooms do not have windows. This is the part that I do not understand. Plus, the room seems to be outdated. If I come back to Saigon again, I wouldn't stay at this hotel.

If you like to spend less just for a good sleep at night and rest of the time sight seeing and shopping this is the place to stay. I stayed with my wife for USD 50/night, very good and neat rooms, no view, freindly staff, Break fast included but not very good as most of the dishes contain pork. Ideally located all the shopping areas are walkable distance, good spa in and around hotel there is oasis spa then good indian restaurants halal food as well as vietnamese food, near sheraton. for me it was business and holiday combined. free wifi is an added attraction.

Room Tip: almost all rooms are the same hence it is better you take elegant room and don't go for executive as it is more priced for just a lousy view.

Stayed at Oscar Saigon Hotel for 3 nights. Delighted by helpful staff who greets and smile at you, and attemts to speak to you in English. Noticed staff may sound "rough" over the phone but generally helpful n friendly. Pleased with room condition. Got the room with a window view! Yes, no iron but laundry & pressing service are so cheap n ast!! About 100,000 dong for ironing of 8 pieces of clothes including svc charge. Bath tub rather small (fits one), but ok. Breakfast has excellent spread of breads etc2. Only downside, not halal-certified. Then again, told by guide no hotels have halal-certified banquet. Many halal-restaurants n shopping outlets nearby. Good choice of stay!!

We reached the hotel in the morning and it was nice of them to let us checked in. My husband & I were checked into the cheapest room they had as for my parents they were checked into a better room. So far my parent's room are perfect. Great air-conditioned, there was a window for them. My parents was given one queen bed & one super single bed, the water heater was working. But for my room, we got 2 single beds. The air-condition was terrible. It has a problem cooling up our room. The water heater wasnt that hot so i have to shower in cold water. Even the electric kettle wasnt working. But since we are out for the whole day, i couldnt be bothered to change into a better one. Lesson learned, book a bigger room for better facilities. For the staffs, we have problem communicating cause not everyone knows how to speak englush. But some are helpful. Breakfast was wonderful. Lots of varieties only con is the food are served cold. Location wise was not bad.

Room Tip: Dont get the cheapest room they have.
