Mostly one sided info, but i still think its worth visiting. The museum shows horrifying pictures and facts of what the US did to them, atleast thats what i got from it. Its good to see the horrendous things the country had/ still has to go through to understand the vietnamese people. This museum is superficial though, it gives you a quick summary of the war with shocking images and thats it, if you are looking for detailed explanations and deepsighted info, then this is not the place.

This place was on top of my 'to do list' during my stay in HCMC, athough I knew that it would be controversial. I was very interested, as I remembered the Vietnam war taking place at the time.
The War Remnants Museum is a large building absolutely full of information and photographs, yet naturally, told through Vietnam eyes.

I was very surprised by my own reaction. Some of the photographs were publised at the time and I remembered a few of them - but I found it all too much; it upset me and I had to come away.

Is it a great place to go? - Not in my opinion.
Do I think one should go? - Yes, definitely.

This is an excellent place to visit and read about the terrible war that took place. It's really sad when you see and read the stories etc. Man can be really terribly cruel! Spend time here and really absorb the events that took place and the sadness. Very touching! There are pictures and equipment from the war on display here. A visit here is a must! There are displayed on the outside as well.

Every story paints a picture and war is a terrible reminder that atrocities take place by sides you’d expect more from. I don’t think this is as one sided as some of the reviewers think, but I’m not American and it is easy to perceive an anti American trend but deep down it portrays an embarrassing episode and an impact still felt today. Educational and deeply moving, the requiem by lost journalists is incredible. A must visit if you’re in Saigon.
