This is billed as a hotel for training young staff. However, they are appear to be left with no direction. The rooms are very spacious, but everywhere need a good clean - dust and dirt everywhere - on the stairs under the furniture. Needs someone to take charge. Sad because the rooms are lovely and breakfast was good.

There's not many things I want from a hotel, cleanliness and friendliness- that's it and both are severely lacking here. We asked if we could have some milk for our room, as we have teabags to make tea but no milk. Staff without a hint of politeness or friendliness outright said no, then after muttering and frowning said we don't normally do this and gave us some. It was rude. This is not how you treat customers, even if we couldn't have any there are ways of saying no in a polite and nice way. Staff don't say hello or smile when guests walk through the hotel, there is no friendliness from 90% of the staff. We sat in the reception area most nights before going to dinner and none of the staff could trouble themselves to look up from their computers/ phones to say hello. I can't believe this is a training college for hospitality, this is the worst hospitality I have seen in my three years of living in Vietnam. Rooms and general areas are very unclean. We saw some staff pick up glasses from the tables without cleaning the rings left on the table from the glasses. Six hours later the dirty rings were still there. The floors in the rooms are dusty and our shower area was extremely unclean. We used a small cloth to see if we could get some of the black off from the shower floor and it came up very easily. We left the cloth on the side hoping the cleaners would see but it didn't inspire them to try doing the same on the rest of the floor. This is a beautiful hotel that is not being kept as clean as it should be. I'm not one for complaining but it really is necessary in this case. All the staff need to be given a better teaching of running a hotel. I've also noticed that the hotel don't respond to bad reviews on here. I hope Villa Hue will do me the courtesy of responding to this review.

The Villa Hue is run as a training hotel for students of the Hue Hospitality School but you wouldn't know from the quality of the service on offer. The students are attentive and the service is excellent. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, the only downside in our room (206) was the noisy air conditioning. The choice for Breakfast was good and the laundry service was quick. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the old town crossing the bridge built by the company who built the Eiffel Tower.

I would rate this good not average but that wasn't an option! It is well-located, on a very quiet residential street just a few minutes walk from a main street with shops and restaurants. The hotel seems very spacious for not very many guests, the bedrooms are massive! Bedrooms and bathrooms are well-equipped, plenty of room for 2 large cases on the floor and then some! Soft chairs as well as large beds, hostess tray and bowl of fruit when we arrived (including a lovely dragon fruit!). Turn down service with choc. left.
Breakfast was usual selection of fruits, pastries and eggs. Service was a little slow here and very slow from the bar when we ordered cocktails but we understand it is a training hotel and we are on holiday, so no rush!
Small pool with a few sunbeds but not very well looked after, used towels left lying around for ages.
I would happily stay here again.

When we arrived we did not got the feeling we are very welcome like we are used to in Asia. No one waited for us while we paid our taxi (Taxidriver even took our bags into the hotel).
The room was not fresh but somewhat mouldy/musty. There was dust on the shelf in the bathroom.
When we walked by the reception and bar to go into town no one noticed us or wished us a good night. Also not when we came back.
Next morning when we went to breakfast suddenly everyone was friendly again so that was nice.
Breakfast is simple but fine.

So, for the money it is ok but would have expect more modern and clean rooms.
