Lovely hotel
Tries hard to be 5-star, but not quite there
Lacks that little edge in service and attention to detail
Staff are friendly, however English is an issue - they do try and make you feel special
Resort starting to look a bit worn and aged – understand its going to be renovated in 2025
Breakfast:
Decent fair, however, not much change day to day
A bit understaffed
Gym
Excellent gym, fully equipped
Overlooking the ocean, superb
Steam room/Sauna/Jacuzzi
Brilliant, use it
Spa
Spa really good – not cheap but good
Location cannot be beaten – overlooking the sea
Pool
Huge pools with underwater scooters for hire
Nice pool menu
Not heated
Very clean, well kept
Rooms
We had a grand villa which was huge
Cleaning not up to scratch, top top, not vacuumed daily and pool deck not cleaned daily
Private pools are not heated, so quite chilly in winter
Beds very comfy, linen good
Towels ok
Water pressure ok
Rooms are ageing
There is a small kitchenette – but you are encouraged not to use it.
Fridge and stove, no microwave, no cutlery/crockery – so the kitchenette is quite unusable
Transfer to Vinwonders
There is a buggy every 5 minutes taking you to the Vinwonders Park and Vinpearl Harbour – works very well
Vinwonders
Aqua park is very good – lots of rides and options, including a wave pool
This is the highlight
Obstacle course in the ocean a treat
Sea water is warm
They do try and keep the sea water clean, but the wind brings a lot of debris from the South China Sea
Theme park and rides not great – don’t think you going to Disney or Universal
Transfer to mainland
Cable car works from 9am to 10pm – great option
Speedboat every half an hour – 24 hours a day
Transfer to airport
You need an hour or so to get to the mainland and then an hour or so to get to the airport
Laundry
There is a great option available – fill the laundry bag and they charge you VND450,000 per bag – its called the Magic Laundry Bag option
