The best part of this hotel is their rooftop pool. It has a glass view perfect for instagram photos. Nice art on the walls for sale. Food at the restaurant is average. Breakfast is a buffet of salads, bread, cereal and some samosas. Then they let you choose a plate of eggs.

Room Tip: No balconies.

The hotel is perfectly located, close to the royal palace. The rooms are a bit small but clean. Air and safe lock are basic necessities. The best from the hotel is a rooftop with the swimming pool. The view to the royal palace and the city right from the pool is wonderful.

We have driven past this hotel several times on past visits and decided to book this time. What a fab hotel, well designed rooms, and a fabulous roof top restaurant/bar area, coupled with one of the best infininty pools in the region. Friendly, attentive staff, great laundry service, awesome location. highly recommend!

I booked this hotel through Agoda for the 2 superior twin room(because all king bed room were fully booked). I did leave a note during booking to request for earlier check in, cause my flight arrives into pnh around 12pm+, but upon arrival we were told rooms were not ready as previous guest has not check out, so we were told to wait till 2pm or we could choose to "upgrade" to deluxe twin with additional cost. We ask the staff what's the difference between superior and deluxe, and they just told us the room is abit bigger and with balcony. So we ask is there any room with king bed, the staff said all was fully booked, so of cause we kindly decline cause we did not need a bigger room, we just wanted king bed. So we went nearby for a drink and came back about 2.30pm and were told we were given a free upgrade to deluxe. Why is it we were given a 'free' upgrade to deluxe when the staff actually asked us to pay for it at the first place? Small try? I don't know. Other than this small glitch during check in, service and hotel was okay.

Pro :
1. Sufficient tv channels, cambodian, chinese, english
2. Bed is firm
3. Air conditioning was cold
4. In room safe
5. Small section of buffet breakfast - fruits, salad, cereal, bread, pancake, waffle, yogurt, daily selection pastries. Hot meal choices are a la carte order, you can order as many as you wan. Choices may change sometimes.
6. Nice rooftop pool & bar
7. Friedly staff
8. Wifi in room was fast enough
9. Welcome drinks & cold towel
10. Close to independance monument and nearby attraction

Cons :
1. The corridor leading to our room at level 4 was very hot
2. The shower door does not close properly, leaving a small gap so water always seep into the room floor
3. Toilet does not have windows or ventilation(maybe just my room), so quite stuffy to sit inside
4. Bedsheet had stains
5. In room rubber slippers were recycled(i think), cause mine had obvious worn marks. 6. Pillows were soft & flat
7. No place to stow luggage, have to put & open on the floor
8. Nearby construction, so if you are in the room during afternoon, will be quite noisy
9. Lobby has no air conditioning as the hotel reception is open area concept

Phnom Penh has many reasonably priced boutique hotels and Aquarius is one of them. Room is clean n average. Roof top is great! Breakfast with unlimited ala carte order and buffet spread of breads, salad & fruits. The roof top pool is amazing, the best feature of this hotel.
