I wouldn't call market products exceptional, but surely it's worth visiting for the building itself and also to catch some cool air ;)

The central market is located in the heart of the city. Lots of booths and excellent selection of clothing to electronics, jewelry, watches, etc. Don't be afraid to bargain and be aggressive. Ask for good or better quality as nothing is real especially for electronics. If you like to shop and to bargain this us the place to go.

Every town and city has at least one market and they are a key activity for the life of the area and important for the local people. But as a visitor, I find that visiting one market, or maybe two, on a trip is invariably enough. I don't need to visit general markets even if they have beautiful colourful displays. Some displays are attractive but most are boring and not really inviting, especially food and general markets. And I found the Central Market to be no exception. Sorry!!

Stopped here a few times to just walk around and people watch. You can literally get anything and everything you could want here. I ended up buying coffee and cashews. Prices by western standards were very reasonable.

This was an interesting place to visit but not exactly unique. It has any sort of trinket that anyone might want to buy and plenty more. There are lots of stalls, many selling similar or the same things. This gives plenty of chance to those that go there for a bit of fun and want to haggle with the Traders. It can be overwhelming at busy times when the place is absolutely heaving with people and getting around to look all around the place would be very tiresome. We picked a reasonably early time to go there in the morning and apparently got Early Bird / First Sale of the day discounts on the couple of things that we bought. Believe that you believe anything!

Also, there are places to change foreign currency at much more favourable exchange rates compared to your hotel perhaps.

The building itself is interesting.

All in all this was a good visit.
