The staff were friendly, quiet location but needs a good clean. it was cheap and the mattress was good. I had the room with the short door, so I felt a bit like I was walking into a cave but this actually made it cool and quiet. Nothing overly "wrong" with the place, just surprised it was a top pick for lonely planet.

Room Tip: I think rooms at the back would be quieter

Dirty (lots of spider webs) and buggy (we got eaten alive.) Hot water didn't work.

They really need to do a deep clean.

The front desk up-sold us on a minibus to siem reap, convincing us of the merits of the minibus to the big bus. We should have gone with our common sense and ignored his advice and gotten on the cheaper more pleasant big bus.

It appears they've been coasting on the lonely planet recommendation for too long.

I stayed here for a month while looking for English teaching work after having moved to Phnom Penh. I was looking for a clean, quiet and most importantly cheap private room from which to mount my job hunt. Sunday Guest house was/is the perfect spot. The rooms are basic, but clean and quiet with the option of fan or aircon. Both rooms I stayed in had wireless, a private bathroom, and cable tv. The owners are very friendly, speak excellent English and will help you with pretty much anything. The location is a little bit out of the way, but everything is accessible by Tuk Tuk or moto within 5 minutes and there is the Orussey Market and numerous restaurants close by.
Not the place to be if you're after a party, but awesome for cheap and relatively comfortable privacy.

Stayed here for a few nights. The staff, to their credit, were friendly and helped with travel arrangements.
However, room was cheap but very stuffy as the fan wasn't powerful enough to circulate air properly. This led to lots of problems.
Small ones: ants all over the room and bathroom (also crawling on the tables in the restaurant downstairs), slightly moist bedding, and difficulty staying cool at night. Despite using mosquito nets, several different types of bug spray and using silk sleeping bags, we were both also eaten alive by bed bugs...there must have been loads of of them living in the room. We expected a few...but not that many.
Worse problems: during our stay our towels weren't changed (no notices up stating you're meant to ask) and they became very smelly as they wouldn't dry due to the humidity. Our waste paper bin was also not cleared out once...not the guests responsibility to do that. You can't flush toilet paper, so it goes in the bin...surely these bins should automatically be changed? It's basic hygiene and service. Our room soon smelt appalling and we could barely go in there.
Other issues worth noting: our laundry was mixed up with someone else's, despite us allowing well over 24 hours for it to be done. There's little room in the restaurant to eat, as the entire family use it as a living room...not a huge issue, but when we ordered food, they had to whisk their children off've the only free table, leaving bits of rice stuck to the mats. You're better off eating elsewhere.
There's also cats freely roaming around the guesthouse....cute, but don't walk around in bare feet. We saw poo in the corridors 3 times, and although they did clear this up, we never saw the floors being properly washed. For all we know, they weren't.
Finally, the location isn't fantastic. 30 minute walk to alternate restaurants. We didn't see any other backpackers staying here either, so the atmosphere was non-existent.
We did have a nice time sitting on the upstairs balcony with some evening drinks though...when busier it would be a lovely social spot.
Some basic but important changes needed - the guesthouse has the potential to be pretty good, but our experience there was unpleasant. Really not recommended from our stay.

Room Tip: Request an air conditioned room. Keep feet covered. Ask if you want room to be cleaned.

We stayed here 2 nights and had a good time here. The rooms was ok, not as clean. The location is good too. The staffs at the hostel were nice and friendly too. They book us tickets to sienreap which is really. All in all, i would recommend this place.
