Not a whole lot to see in this truly vast square, but on the Northern side is the Parliament Building, guarded imposingly by Ghengis Khan and slap in the centre is the statue on horseback, where many young Ulan Batorians hang out and meet. Also in the square is a fleet of motorized children's cars and many families gather to give their kids a free run behind the wheel. Don't be surprised if you get run over by a 7 year old driving a miniature BMW. Surrounding the square are some truly ugly, Soviet style buildings, but the square itself is well worth a look. At night, the Parliament is lit up for some good photo ops.
