Bounjour Guesthouse (remember it is not a 5-star hotel), a quaint little joint, that has it's heart in the right place.

Located bang in the middle of Sultanahmet, it is conveniently located from all the facilities, like market place, restaurants as also the tramway, known as fenikiler (make sure you have the Istanbul card).

The rooms have the basic facilities, like tea coffee maker, hair dryer ac (etc), plus they are neat and clean.

The staff is extremely polite, accommodating, and they rustle up a nice breakfast. More than that they are friendly and go to lengths in telling you how to go where, providing maps etc.

Room Tip: Request for room on the first or second floor, and you can see the sea at a distance.

Ideally located at the center of touristic Istanbul. The Sultan Ahmet district is the ideal platform to launch all kind of forays to greater Istanbul. This is a clean hotel. Comfortable rooms with all amenities. Friendly staff.

A small hotel with basic amenities that ticks all the boxes for what you would expect from a similarly sized hotel - good breakfast, neat and tidy room with tv, kettle etc, decent sized bathroom. The location is terrific as it is close to the main sights of Sultanahmet. Close to transport links and about 30 mins from Taksim square by cab at a cost of roughly 15 to 20 Turkish lira. Definitely one to consider if you are travelling to Istanbul. The front desk is very helpful and can assist in planning day trips outside of Istanbul.

I stayed for 4 nights all in all. It was a wonderful stay, hotel is very near to Topkapi Palace, Sultanahmet Square, etc. The staff are very helpful and informative. The room, the bed is comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends who will visit Istanbul.

I stayed here in Dec. 2015 and Jan. 2016 and had a great time in Istanbul. The location is perfect; you can walk to the Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and to the public transportation. Also, the neighborhood has several restaurants in the area.
