This was a great hostel to stay at. The whole vibe is super chill and the staff was incredibly nice. One of the workers even took me and my friend out for the night and showed us around like locals. They were very warm and welcoming on a cold rainy day. A little hard to find but once you get there it is very hommy and comfortable.

I've spent 3 nights at this hostel. It's a place to meet people, most of them are backpackers, long life travelers on low budged.
Overall it was an interesting experience, specially due to the interaction with the staff which was willing to take you out to party and introduce you to the others.

Was disappointed staying here. I guess you get what you pay for. Good for not spending much time, recommended maybe 1 night.
Negative : very dusty & dirty, even found a toe nail clipping next to my bed! Dorm room had no fan or A / C, was really hot with lots of people sleeping in the one room. Only one shower working on the floor we were on , which kept flooding the bathroom floor.
Positive : Great location. Close to bars / clubs; shopping & attractions near Taksim. Easy to meet other travellers with lots of communal areas. Kitchen provided.
Better places to stay nearby.

We spent 5 nights at the hostel. The staff is really friendly, great service, free tea and common places to meet and chat with travellers from all around the world. Our lamp didn't work so we even got a new room with our own balcony which was very nice and appreciated! Don't expect to sleep to much though, the walls are obviously made of paper and your fellow neighbors don't always feel like being quiet at night.

Our stay took 7 days, double room with external bathroom.

Absolutely disgusting and too less toilets. The hostel has got a capacity for a lot of people that can use the 4 bathrooms. One of the bathrooms was all the time closed, maybe because it was defect. So if you consider that a lot of people use the 3 bathrooms, you will know that there will be a lot of waiting and a lot of unhygienic stuff around. And to avoid this the hostel workers need to clean the bathrooms nearly every day I think.
And if they did only the floor because it was always full with hair and water. But it felt like they don´t clean any other area. The wall and the floor of the shower had a dirty film/layer and other stuff. It always smells very disgusting and you try to avoid to touch anywhere.

The room we had a bad smell. The sheets smelled like unwashed and the room smelled also bad. The ventilator makes annoying sounds. And the corridor has absolutely no light. At night you walk through the darkness and stub your toe.

The hostel workers are all not helpfull and have no understanding of friendliness. Absolutely unsympathetic.

Positive: Very cheap. We payed about 14 € for our room per night. Which is wonderful because you are at the best location of Istanbul at the Taksim square. From the hostel you can find cheap, alternative, expensive, crazy, traditional... restaurants and places. So you have a lot of variety in your environment. For the location the hostel is great and cheap. Especially if you are a student on a small budget like us.
And you can socialize very easily. A lot of people sit around the sitting areas and you can make friends if you want.
Another thing is that you have the whole time tea and drinking water for free. That is very good for the price I think.

Even though I think even if it is cheap the circumstances are disgusting.

But other than that Istanbul is very beautiful and crazy :)
