The WiFi is very fast and reliable, the staff have a good command of English, they are extremely friendly and they will help as much as they can. The hotel is within walking distance from the Taxim Square. There are many low-priced local restaurants around the location with good quality food.
The hotel is hard to find, even for local cab drivers, the street is hardly accessible, the name is not displayed anywhere, the reception is in a real estate agency in the basement. The overall standards are way below average, with TV not working, power outlets wrecked with cables exposed, a permanently flooded, very small shared bathroom, with it's cleanliness depending on who used it last, with a shower head that can't be attached to the wall as the support doesn't match the socket, and with the stench of sewage ever hanging in the air. Whoever ends up with the room with the water boiler will have to get used to noise - either from the boiler itself, or from people walking through the room in order to fix it.More
