I spent ten days in this old remodeled 4 suite villa in Instanbul historical center. I was looking for a quiet place to write and study and was very happy with this choice. Suites have classy furnishing, somewhat typical. Breakfast is served in the little garden (very relaxing too, I used to read there) and offers typical Turkish products as well as western ones. Personnel is nice and rooms clean. Please beware that shower and bathtub are in the bedroom, only wc is separated. If you are ok with that, go for it. Excellent choice if you visit Istanbul for the first time and want to easily visit historical spots.

Villa Hagia Sophia is a traditional converted Turkish house, little details in decoration have been thought about which really make a difference to your stay. Lovely big bath in the bedroom, spacious enough especially considering you have a living space and bedroom space. The breakfast was more continental but you can also have eggs made of your choice. Excellent location only a short walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia as well as plenty of places to eat. Would definitely recommend to others!

Room tip: Only 4 rooms, all are the same.

Our stay here was first class. The Manager Farouk was warm & friendly along with the other staff members. The room was clean, spacious & luxurious. Breakfast was fresh & filling. The hotel is also situated literally 5mins from the beautiful blue mosque. This topped a very enjoyable stay in beautiful Istanbul. Thank you x

We stayed here for 4 nights for our trip to Istanbul. There were 3 floors: basement floor, 1st floor (you may say it is ground floor) and 2nd floor. Basement floor is basically the working place of their staff and kitchen. 2 rooms in each of 1st and 2nd floors. So there are only 4 rooms in this hotel.

We were firstly assigned to a room on the 1st floor (Room No. 1 in this hotel). The old guy welcoming us was very nice, since we arrived at 6am early morning, he let us have a rest first and ask us to formally check in later which we appreciated. However, the room in the 1st floor was too close to the sweet which we can hear almost every sentence people were saying in the street. That made me feeling so uncomfortable without privacy. Even though the room was with curtain, I felt the people in the street may be able to see us sleeping or even having shower.

We requested for changing our room to the 2nd floor, the other young guy staff was not helpful saying that it is almost the same in each floor. Anyway we changed to Room No. 4. It was much quieter and we can sleep well here even though the bedroom is a bit smaller than Room No. 1.

Apart from the noise, the rooms themselves are quite good with very nice western antique furniture with good maintenance.

They did not clean the floor. One day when we came back to the hotel to take a rest and found that they already cleaned the room. But we found that all our hairs are still on the floor and found that they did not clean the floor at all that made us disappointed.

For the breakfast, it was not bad. But after 4 days, being the only guest, we found that the breakfast buffet food was repeating and we really doubted if the same food was put there for 4 days.....

Higher price room is a bit misleading here. Since we were the only guest in these 4 days, sometimes we were able to look in the other rooms as they would not lock the room doors. We found that all the rooms are really similar and it was meaningless for you to choose a higher price room like us! We read their website and chose the Sultan Suites but discovered that every room is almost the same but they are charging some rooms in higher price which is not necessary.

No airport transfer. At last, we were about to go to airport. We found from trip advisor saying that if we stayed for more than 3 nights, they can provide free airport transfer. But when we asked the staff, he said we can feel free to take taxi to airport and it is easy. It seems "free airport transfer" is never available.

Overall, we were paying higher price for better suites and thought we were misled a bit. Not a very good value for this hotel which the same price can find a better one in Istanbul.

Room tip: Any room is the same; Not necessary to choose a higher price one. Choose a room on the 2nd floor to avoid noise from street.

Great location - in heart of Sulthanamed. Small BB with upscale colonial style furnishings, situated in local neighborhood. Convenient , clean , functional . Stuff very helpful and polite . Typical Turkish breakfast included. Very peaceful , best sleep I had in along time. Highly recommended would return .
