Anthony Bourdain visited this place and raved about it for a reason. It is THAT good. I had the kuzu (lamb) kabob and my wife had an adana durum. Both were cooked to perfection and served with some light vegetables and pickled peppers that added an additional flavor to the meal.

It was extremely cheap and quick. This is a must-try if you are just looking for some good quality Turkish food without the fancy atmosphere. This should be your first stop for lunch if you are near taksim.

the meat is very tasty and has a lovely texture. It's one of the best kebab i've tried.
I think it's a great choice to come here.

The difference between this and other kebabs I had in Istanbul was that the meat here is carefully marinated then grilled, and not in the usual shawarma fashion, but over an open fire. This must have been the attraction for Anthony Bourdain, who featured this little joint in the middle of the city center, on one of his travel episodes. As a tribute to him, a visit here turned worthwhile, as the service and food, as well as sitting right on the street while you eat, made for a unique experience.

Helpful English speaking staff. A+++ food for an A+++ price. Much better than much pricier restaurants I’ve been to at Istanbul.
