We stayed at the Hotel Yunus Emre for three nights.
Positive...the staff is very friendly and helpful....the location is great as previously report...the breakfast was basic, but good and prepared by a nice lady...the small rooms were clean but tired...the bed was comfortable and had a top sheet (something we didn't find in some Turkish hotels). There is a small family operated store across the street for forgotten items and drinks. The hotel has an elevator. The lobby is quite large and the only place where you can obtain WiFi.
Negative....the hotel is VERY basic...our room was not serviced during our stay with no towel exchange. Bring your own toiletries non are supplied.
You get what you pay for at this hotel. Like most of the budget hotels, the photos raise your expectations and don't prepare you for the let-down.
If you are on a budget, I would suggest that you consider this hotel. (Not a strong recommendation) There are numerous hotels in the area with a wide range of prices so do your homework.
If I were to return to Istanbul I may return to this hotel...but would look at others....STAY AWAY FROM THE HOTEL SULTANEHMET, which is approx. a block away.More
