We loved the central location of the hotel, close to the central shopping and entertainment areas (Jaffa Rd, Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall, Mamilla mall etc) and close to the Old City.
The room was clean and comfortable but cramped. No real closet or dresser for unpacking: just a weird alcove in the corner with a few shelves and hangers. The room was quiet so we had a good nights sleep on a comfortable bed.
The bathroom was disappointing: no shampoo, no tissues and only two small, thin bath towels.
Reasonable Israeli hotel breakfast with good coffee, pastries and salads but disappointing selection of cheeses.
Front desk staff were friendly.

Well situated for the centre but a nightmare to find when driving - and nowhere to park outside the hotel without blocking someone in. Helpful hotel staff; the rooms were average with the very poor amenities one expects nowadays from the Ibis range: unreliable sink plugs, poor soap, shampoo and gels.

As others have reported, the hotel is located convenient to the city center. Gett taxis are easy to call up on your smartphone, like Uber, and so transportation to and from the hotel is easy to obtain. Rides everywhere was about $15 to most sites. The room is typical ibis. The beds are hard and the space open and clean and quite sterile in appearance. Outlets near the beds made using devices in bed while plugged in to recharge very convenient. No USB plugs. Bath towels were minimal, only 2. Beds are typical of ibis, very very hard when compared to the States. Their English was excellent. Price was excellent too.

But the most significant issue and why we would never stay there again was the noise. We were located on the alley side which we thought would mean there would be less noise. But nightly around 1 AM, for four straight nights that we were there, the bars must apparently close because every night the screaming and shouting would wake us up. The first time it happened, we thought it was a riot or demonstration because multiple voices were heard for almost twenty minutes. And then at 1:30 AM nightly, the hotel would begin dumping it’s trash into the alley bins making a Huge, with a capital H, racket.

Without the noise, I would have generously given it four stars.

Horrible rooms... Booked the room on a high floor with big windows and ended up in a dull one with a pigeon hole window. When i went down to complain i was offered a bigger room with the same pigeon hole window...I ended up paying for the room but couldn't stay in it (too depressing)... i slept in another hotel.

Location
In the city centre only 10 min walking distance to the old city. So you were among locals and tourists. You could also take the tram for 2 stations to reach the old city. A lot of shops nearby with great food, coffee and sweets.

Hotel
The hotel is next to a main pedestrian road where the tram stops, still a bit secluded so that it doesnt get loud. Depending on the season, you might have people sitting outside in bars etc., but we did not encounter any noise issue.

Rooms
The rooms are on the small side but comfortable, as one would expect from an Ibis. The bath was tiny, but well maintained and clean. There was little storage space, but again i know that when i book the standard room of an ibis. We were happy about our decision.

Food
We only had breakfast once, there was plenty to choose from for this hotel category. I did not expect this.

Employees
Honestly very nice even in tricky situations where customers tried to blame their errors on them. They helped us when we needed advice on how to reach certain restaurants and areas.

Guests
Very touristy, all ages, big groups etc.

Do you get what you pay for?
The price here is driven by the high demand and special location. Therefore it is ok and i would go there again to have the convenience. Based on the room/hotel facts alone the price could be half of what it is.

Room tip: High floor migh be good to avoid city center noise. The side matters to, ask in advance.
