We were coming from Paris to visit Jerusalem. We chose this hotel because it seemed to be quiet and nice. And it was !
The people working there was very nice, helping with maps, buses, and speaking french ! The breakfast was huge with salads and cheese, ham etc.
We would really recommend it, even if it's not located in the center, so there isn't any noise at night and you can reach the city very easily with the bus.

Many thanks for your review! It was really nice to have you here. Regarding breakfast, I’m sure you meant “jam”, since the hotel is kosher and dairy only. We hope you’ll be able to come back soon and run away from your cold European winter!

I've lost track of the number of times I've stayed at this nice little hotel in a quiet neighborhood that is short convenient taxi ride from the city center. As usual, the room (a suite) was very comfortable. The staff is very helpful and even remembered me when I called to make a last minute reservation. The breakfast was Israeli style. There is a small store a few blocks away and a larger store nearby. The hotel only allows dairy foods to be brought in - no meat.

Room Tip: I like the suites because I usually travel with my son. The suite is very spacious and would be suit...

Eden Jerusalem is not in the walking distance from main city attractions but very convenient if you have a rental car or other type of private transportation. Hotel is small, clean and quiet. Upscale neighborhood with not much traffic. Close to the German Colony with many small and friendly restaurants. Interior decor of the hotel is plain with basic furniture. Breakfast is Ok, not as rich as in fancier hotels in the city. However, the nightly rate is almost half of those more centrally located hotels so it is cheaper just stay there and drive every morning closer to the old city and park the car for the entire day. Nightly parking at the hotel is free but it is just on the street and sometimes it is hard to find a vacant spot. We stayed here in the end of November and the hotel was not busy at all. Overall it is a good place to stay since you don't want to spend too much time in it and instead enjoy sightseeing in one of the greatest cities in the world.

First the good -- the staff at Eden are extremely helpful in every way. They helped arrange dinner for us on Shabbat, arranged innumerable taxis for us, and were all-around very pleasant.

Now the rest (not that it's bad) -- this hotel is rather inexpensive for Jerusalem, and you get what you pay for. Do not expect a luxurious surprise. Rooms are very basic, amenities can be kind of random (the overhead light in our room went out and was not fixed, the hotel does not provide shampoo, there was no phone in the room, the remote control to the A/C unit seemed utterly ineffectual, and the radiators seemed to be on no matter what). But, the rooms were clean and comfortable -- exactly what we were looking for, and exactly as advertised. The hotel is quite a distance from the Old City, so you will need a taxi to get there, but the hotel staff calls taxis that arrive within 5 minutes. Also, the neighborhood seems not to be THAT well known among taxi drivers near the Old City and other popular parts of Jerusalem, so be prepared to give directions or present a map.

All in all, the hotel was perfectly fine for the price. If you are budget conscience (and, given the prices of Jerusalem hotel rooms, most people have to be), this is a good choice.
