Used the path as a cut through to make my journey shorter. This building sits on a hill very high up near mt Zion. It is strange to see a Scottish flag flying on the top of it and it can be seen from miles around. The building is huge and has been there for ages. It's all a bit creepy being so high up but the shortcut was good and saved me time. I wouldn't want to do it at night as I fear animals would eat me.

Dear Sir/Madam...
Yes, you are right... St Andrews Scots House Hotel is an old building that refers to the 1930's... It will be great to experience the stay here.
By the way, there is not any animals around the place... so you are mostly welcome to pass be and see a panoramic view to the city of Jerusalem.

The guesthouse is simple but spotless, with lovely views of the Old City from a flower - filled courtyard, conveniently located and an excellent value. The staff couldn't be more helpful, and the breakfast is bountiful.

We got high recommendations for this guesthouse but the price didn't seem to match. Good places in Israel usually cost much more and it didn't make sense that it would actually be so good. It was also strange for Jews like us to stay at a church.
But trip advisor also supported the claims and we decided to take a shot. To complete the atmosphere we found a vocal concert performing at the church on the exact night that we have chosen, so we got tickets for that.
It was great from beginning to end, including everything.
Breakfast was great as well.
The location and the fact that they have free parking helped us a lot with the day as well.
If you go to Jerusalem, check out this place. Ask for room 11 - it has 3 directions of view and air and two balconies. This is the real deal.

Wonderful place. A place where the history, a views, a religious silence, a library and the piano in the saloon gives a visitant a meditative and inspirating atmosphere. The breakfast y excepcional with a long variety of foods. The crew is very gentle and having full disposition to more than they functions.
Sergio Vainroj, from Argentina.

Room Tip: There is two types of rooms. With view to the Old City of Jerusalem or with view to garden.

It is not my first time travelling to the city of Jerusalem, but first time to stay in the Scottish Guest House, which was a unique experience: a cozy atmosphere, and a helpful staff (amazing one) together in an old building (70-80 years), with a very good location: close to the East side of Jerusalem (the Palestinian side- that has many attractive places to visit), and in the West side (Israeli one).

PS: Next time as I travel to Jerusalem with my family, I will reserve there.

Room Tip: The first 2 nights I had the garden view room, but as we have changed to the Old City view, it was excellent.
