Stayed here in October 2017.
Not cheap, but cheaper than other options. It’s right opposite the new gate to the old city and that’s why I chose it.
Rooms - I had a decent sized room facing the street. Twin beds pushed together. Ac and room was relatively quiet. It didn’t have any other amenities(TV, coffee heater, fridge). Comfortable bed and I got a good nights sleep.
Breakfast - included and lots of options.
Dinner - Buffett dinner at 20USD. Lots of options and worth the price.

Why only 4 stars?
1. Service - could be better. The staff here need to learn to engage with the people they speak with. I asked about ATMs (don’t know but hotel has one), grocery stores (don’t know). It would also help if like other hotels there was a map provided to people on arrival. I suspect most guests are part of your groups and this is seldom necessary.

Would I stay here again?
Yes. Close to city, close to mamilla mall that has shopping. Decent food. It would all depend on the price however.

Stayed: October 2017, travelled solo

This was our second stay at Notre Dame and I must say that it was even better than the first. My wife and I had one of the rooms with the balcony (which I highly recommend) that we really enjoyed, especially at night. The food was excellent and the staff very professional. My wife and I dined several times in the rooftop restaurant with breathtaking views of Jerusalem including the Old City. The shuttle service to the airport is a nice feature as well. I will not consider any other accommodations except Notre Dame Guest House when I travel to Jerusalem.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a balcony!

Very close to "Schem" gate of the old city. Quite atmosphere. Parking within the Hotel yard. Have rooftop restaurant with great view (we enjoyed the view without eating in the restaurant). Nice breakfast with the option to eat at outdoor location.

went with wife and friends for one night on a Friday to the hotel. the rooms are basic, clean and nice (we asked for balcony and it was nice) - no coffee maker or TV in the room. the hotel got cafeteria and a few restaurants. we had dinner in the roof top place and it was great ! the breakfast is OK - not great but more than enough for was we need. I recommend if you don't mind the cross over the bad, the fact that all the hotel talk only English (no Hebrew in the hotel even it is in Israel !!). very close to the old city - you go in thru the "New Gate".

Room Tip: take a balcony - better the 2nd floor so you can see the old city.

This is destination as much as a hotel . Built of stone quarried on site it has that ancient feel . The facade is palatial and the entry grand .There are courtyards and balconies that make this an oasis of peace and comfort in Jerusalem . The rooftop restaurant offers magnificent views of the city as well as one of the finest dining experiences you will have in the city .The rooms are simple almost spartan but very clean . The hotel staff is friendly and helpful . There is a museum on site for the shroud of Turin that is fascinating . There is also a chapel on site for the faithful . So it's a hotel that's more of a destination unto itself . It is certainly one of the best places to stay when visiting the old city .
