Ilana, a tour guide with "Delicious Israel," took a group of us on a fantastic tour of Levinski Market in Tel Aviv. She personally knew most of the merchants, and arranged for incredible tastings at a variety of unique, wonderful food stands, shops and restaurants. Ilana is clearly an extremely informed foodie, as well as a highly enthusiastic tour leader. Our time with Ilana at Levinski was one of the highlights of my recent trip to Israel; I highly recommend her for any of the many tours she leads in Tel Aviv.

Spices, unique restaurants, dry fruits, beers, ice cream, cheese, special teas, freshly squeezed juices. All in one small place. Some of the shops are as old as 50 years. Family businesses. Local youngsters love it. Tourists will find something to enjoy as well.

During my time in tel aviv we have been here very often. It's an area of a few streets around lewinsky/haaliya street with loads of nice shops, especially for spices, dried fruits, nuts and delicatesse stores with olives, smoked fish, cheese and other stuff ( best to buy at "Chaim Raphael" - I could die for their filled wineleaves). It's also a great place for lunch (e.g. great falafel and schawarma at "falafel eli", authentic persian food at "Nayeb's chef house" or nice little, fresh dishes at "Yaloma". Or just walk through the little streets with locals, pass some lovely flower shops, balloons and listen to the local musicians performing on the balconies of the streets.
Just come here and get in love with the vibe of this very authentic place!

A busy and bustling market, specializes in spices, dried fruit, coffee and tea.
Can also find a number of good delis and specialty (asian, for example) shops.
Take time to taste, sit for a coffee, eat a Burekas. There are none like it.
